A 40 mile round trip today. Arrived at 10.20 am and there was a notice on the gate reading 'Closed'. They also had opening times on the gate from 10 am and this is also as advertised on the internet. So all for nothing. Very...More

Visiting on a Thursday in mid-September we had the whole garden to ourselves for two hours. Parking in a lay-by outside you walk up a lovely drive to an garden shed cum reception area where you can summon the owner (and his two dogs) with...More

I am a RHS member & thankfully had free entry to this small garden. I feel sorry for people who pay £5 to visit this disappointing garden. I was given a garden guide & plants of interest sheet & agree that there are several unusual...More

I have to agree that this garden is probably at its best in spring. There is a good deal of new planting that needs to mature, but improvements are well under way. We spent over an hour on our visit found it well worth while...More

Unfortunately I forgot to read the reviews...big mistake. The place is very small, 20 min is more then enough, not much to see, specially in september. What they call "Arboretum" is a lawn with few trees...the grass was pleasantly soft to sit on, that is...More
