The Marlborough region comprises a ridiculous amount of the NZ exports (say 90% for the sake of argument). The wines are delicious and Cloudy Bay is a well known staple world wide. Even though Sauvignon Blanc is what put Marlborough on the map, we loved...More

Iconic for sure, but somewhat snooty I am afraid. Our tasting experience at Cloudy Bay was a bit deflating because of a disinterested cellar door host and a somewhat scripted description of what we were tasting. Where’s the passion, and the joy of wine? It...More

Visited here recently. Nice location but felt atmosphere formal. Was allowed taste 2 wines compared to 4/5 at other locations. And it was S blanc day locally! Wendy was v helpful and had a good knowledge of the wines. Need to loosen up a bit.

We cycled here doing the rounds of the local wineries and what a place! We did the wine tasting which granted was a bit pricier than others, however you got a reasonable "taste" of each wine which allowed you to hear a bit about it,...More

This was our first winery on a day long winery tour and it certainly set a great standard for the other wineries to match. They were super friendly and had a huge fire place going to take the chill, out. Their wine tasting was generous and...More

A very nice winery but can be a bit pricey for tastings. Nice outside eating area and oyster bar but lacks a bit of character and warmth. Chose this winery to start our tour as we are familiar with the wines but it was not...More

Top notch winery and cellar door. Expensive to taste and as we had already tasted many wines at other places we settled on ice cream at the bar out back.

We went to Cloudy Bay as the wine is well known and we like the White Wines. The Vinary and the Garden is very nice but you don't really feel welcomed here. The food is very posh and more Japanese style. I would love some...More

No trip to Marlborough would be complete without a visit to Cloudy Bay. We are very familiar with their wines so we decided just to sit and enjoy the garden with a glass of our favourites rather than do the tastings inside. A glass of...More

We visited Cloudy Bay as part of a guided private tour, I am sure you can visit during the cellar door hours
