The real Van Gogh deal
Jul 2020
Today I was never closer to Van Gogh’s life than ever in this beautiful restored house of his girlfriend. Amazing everyday stuff of the 19th century and real paintings of The Hague school style made by friends of Van Gogh. Includes a tour through a beautiful garden and van Gogh’s atelier. We were superlucky today: Dutch painter Hennie Agten was painting in Van Gogh style in his Vincents former atelier. The real Van Gogh deal! Cheers from Rotterdam

Unique experience, great tour

Great, unique tour. Don’t hesitate, just do it! The house holds some secrets and, due to all the details, feels very authentic. All the stories that are typically related to this house and even beyond, were told with great knowledge and enthousiasm.
We were lucky to also visite the place nextdoor, where Vincent actually lived and painted. Well worth a visit!

The house is very well decorated with original 19th century furniture; interesting stories and history behind the house. We visited with an Italian, Isreali, Swiss and Dutchman. Would highly recommend.

Going back in time through the eyes of Van Gogh
Aug 2019
By sheer accident we discovered this precious jewel, right in the middle of Nuenen, Noord-Brabant. We took a guided tour and were so pleasantly surprised that in hindsight we think that our visit to Salon Nune Ville was the highlight of our day. You literally walk in the footsteps of Van Gogh and the people he loved, with whom he had arguments with, had dinner wiith - his loved ones, his teachers, his apprentices - all of them you will meet through paintings, art and objects. And through the words of its private owner, a very knowledgeable art historian who lives there with her husband and children, The house has seen not only a great artist as Van Gogh, it also is a silent witness to the Second World War when the town's Minister, hid a young Jewish man in the attic, a captivating story about sadness, perseverance and heroism. Its right there in front of you, a unique place of history, in the beautiful town of Nuenen. Please visit. You won't be disappointed.

A total delight
Jun 2019 • Friends
This house reveals so much about Vincent Van Gogh, the fact that it can still do so is down to the amazing dedication and attention that the family Bekkers, its current owners and residents, have given it. From the moment you enter through its front door you feel transported to a time gone by. The private tour makes you feel at home and privy to intimacies that are surprising, illuminating and serve to bring Vincent very much alive. The house has much to tell and leaves a lasting impression. It was a great privilege to visit, a highlight of our time in the region and highly recommended.

Very special

This house holds many secrets and had a very authentic feel to it. It was easy to imagine Vincent and Margot here and all the sadness that went with it. The attic was amazing, its so untouched. The current owners are knowledgeable and happy to answer questions, they've done a sensitive renovation and as they live there, it feels like a home rather than an exhibit. We'll worth a visit.

Intimate story about the life & affection between Vincent & Margot, all told inside the house which is very nice re-decorated back to time they lived there.

Privileged
Jul 2018 • Couples
We felt very privileged to be given a personal tour of this house by the lady who lives there, Jacqueline. We were given deep insight into Vincent's life in a way we could never have expected. Jacqueline has extensive knowledge and was full of anecdotes of Vincent's life passed to her by people who knew and worked with him.

The house itself is charming. She has an amazing collection of artwork by Vincent's pupils and she delighted in telling us the story behind each of them. But there is more to the history of this house than just Vincent. I will leave you to discover that.

This was the highlight of our holiday (and that includes the Andre Rieu concert at Maastricht).

Thank you very much Jacqueline, our guide to Nune Ville for a wonderful conversation about Van Gogh and Margot Begemann. It was wonderful to see the interiors which remember their love. We had a lot of luck to be in Nuenen on Saturday 5th of May and visit this place. We recommend everyone who is in love with Van Gogh's story. Best regards from Poland. Agnieszka i Grzegorz

Charming Stop in Nuenen
Apr 2018 • Couples
We visited the Salon in mid-April. Excellent tour of the house that provided insight regarding how people lived when Van Gogh was a resident of Nuenen. A fascinating addition was a climb to the attic where a young Jewish man was hidden during WWII. Pretty gardens.
