a factual place of local history, a slide-show of interest with good displays contained on a single floor in just 2 rooms excellent exhibition of Sanquhar knitted gloves, very different than normal items and several unusual artifacts to be seen....closes lunch-time approx 1 - 2...More

It could be that there weren't many tourists about or more likely that the staff are just very pleasant, professional and attentive but we had a brilliant visit to the Tollbooth Museum. The guide was there to answer questions when we had them, offer snippets...More

His. No closed for season now until easter/April. Well worth visiting the Area . There's the Multiverse at Crawick that's a must see and the beautiful Leadhills and walks at Drumlanrig Castle and gardens. Hope you go me... More
