About
Magic mon del tren is a venue dedicated to the hobby of collecting and model-making. This new facility in our country attempts to introduce the unknown miniature train world to the general public of any age. Josep Arumi Bou has been a Marklin train collector since 1984. During all this time he has been making up an important collection of locomotives and passenger and freight cars in gauge HO (1:87) together with other gauge 1 elements. On the ground floor of his house he had several glass cabinets containing a part of this collection and two gauge HO layouts. The oldest one, built in 1991 using M railway tracks, recreated the stream railway world. The other one, more recently built using K and C railway tracks, recreated the modern electric traction railway. His dearest wish to expand his collection and to go on working with railway models and layouts, together with his aim to show it to both model train enthusiasts and to the general public, led him to design and build a big railway center: Magic mon del tren (The magical world of trains). It hosts his private collection and two big layouts: a gauge HO operating layout and a gauge 1 layout under construction. This exhibition (museum) is placed in a modern three-story building of 1000 m2 . It meets all the safety and access standards and it is well-equipped with the latest technologies.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was in a group of older visitors from UK and Holland. Everyone agreed that it greatly exceeded their expectations. The detail in the landscapes and set-pieces that the trains run through is quite amazing. We spent 2 full hours visiting the 3 floors of displays and found it all quite enchanting. It's certainly not just for kids.
The ground floor is devoted to display cases of hundreds of pieces of rolling stock, locos, etc and 2 whole upper floors of multiple trains moving through a variety of landscapes, towns, etc.
It deserves a lot more visitors, but unfortunately is a little off "the beaten track". It is, however, quite close to the city of Vic.
The entry fee was 6/7 Euros for an adult and less for children. It's well worth going out your way for a visit.
A few yards away is a good quality, good-priced restaurant, run by the same family.

Initially we thought that it was going to be a visit for the kids, but once started the visit the adults were absolutely fascinated by the whole world of those models, which everyone could feel the passion used while this has been built. Needless to say, the fascination of the kids seeing train and cars moving all over like if it were magic While visiting the area not to be missed. A great and fantastic combination; trains and models fascinating model railway displays. Recomended 100%

We went here with our kids (6 & 9)and they absolutly it! As did we.
It was fantastic to see all these 'parts of cities' build up to create this world with trains!

Yesterday, me and my friend from Amèrica went to "Mà gic Món del tren". I had already seen it last year but some things where different. We both enjoyed a lot, Josep, the director, is very friendly and funny. It was fantastic!

This simply has to be one of the very best model railway displays in the world. It extends to 3 floors of moving and static displays. The top 2 floors have the most intricate lay-outs with 70 trains travelling through a variety of scenery. The detail is fantastic and enhanced by lighting changing the display from daytime to night time. You cannot help but watch with an enormous smile on your face. Ideal for everyone!

I'm not particularly keen on scale model but enjoy and still remember this visit with wife And 6 year daughter and 21 month son. Kids were both finding interest. Owner is with no doubt passionated and paying attention to detail. All train bus car and other synchronising in a beautiful seenering. Building Lightening progressively shutting down while the small house, small attraction park, car train truck start illuminating. Very well done - sure that the connoisseur will appreciate even better.
Only hic cup is distance From barcelona. Would have been much more popular otherwise.
The facility is almost like new very clean and organised, 3 floor with elevator, air con reply to question. It worth promoting the place.

It's been a fantastic experience. Huge model with trains, landscapes, buildings and cars on the 1st floor and a second model with larger trains (scale 1:32) on the 2nd floor. Friendly guides who happen to be the same people building the whole thing will be happy to explain you the smallest details and all the stories behind each train on their collection. Very recommended!

Long reviews are not readable on websites. Forget them. The longer and more pathetic I'd want to be about the place the more useless it seems.
The Magic mon del tren is simply wonderful. A result of 37 years of collecting trains, making a perfect model of small Europe, putting time and soul into tiny figures digging or doing something else is not possible to explain. It is useless to describe. Highly recommendable with a lunch in a neighboring restaurant. With warmest thanks to the hosts of the place.
