Interesting place and dogs are allowed inside which is great but very expensive. Welsh flag face masks were £5:99 a pound more than the other face masks and i have seen them much cheaper elswhere also Merlin the welsh cream liquor was £24:00 and i have seen this for £14:00 in the supermarket, make a orofit yes but dont rip, people off. Also lots of coaches visit so beware of people arriving en masse who do not keep any social distance. Has a cafe and a sweetshop and lots of welsh gifts etc

Dec 2023 • Couples
My partner and I visited the café at James Pringle Weavers, Llanfair PG on 23 December 2023.
We had popped into the store to look for a few last minute gifts and as we passed the café at lunchtime (about 12.30pm) we noticed it was quiet so decided to have a bite to eat.
We had a look at the menu board and I decided to go for the tikka masala meal and my partner opted for the fish & chips. We paid and sat down.
Not long after, our meal was brought over to our table. I started to eat, expecting the waitress to come back with the remaining items that we had paid for. She never returned so I popped over to her at the serving counter and asked her when she would be bringing over my poppadums and mango chutney. Her response threw me as she was immediately defensive stating that they didn't have any and that they were short staffed (whatever that has got to do with it). I didn't quite know what to say so I said I'd paid for them in my meal, she simply shrugged and said it was nothing to do with her, and just carried on with whatever task she was doing. I felt quite upset at the way she had treated me but I didn't really know what else to do as she was now ignoring me, so I returned to our table and told my partner.
Once he'd finished eating, he went to the till and waited in line to speak to the cashier and realized whilst looking at the board that he hadn't had peas with his meal. He had been given a few bits of salad instead, but hadn't realised this wasn't what he was meant to get. By this time it was getting quite busy so he waited a while until he got to the cashier, and then all the cashier did was call across to the waitress in question and she immediately shouted across quite aggressively and from quite a distance, "I've already told your partner we haven't got any". My partner replied that he had also been given the wrong food and she said that they'd run out of peas. My partner replied that we had paid for meals and not received everything we had ordered and once again she shouted across so that everyone was now looking at him and said "I'm just following orders, it's nothing to do with me", so my partner asked to see the manager. By now it felt like everyone was looking and listening to the waitress' rude and disrespectful attitude to my partner - it was extremely embarrassing. The manager came and we explained the situation. He apologized and offered a partial refund - we will never return to the café after this awful experience.

Firstly the overall coverage of COVID restrictions were good in the whole store and there were sanitising stations available. We felt very safe with the restricted entry to the building and were quite prepared to wait. However on visiting the cafe on Thursday 24th June this year, my friend and I decided we would not make the same mistake again. Firstly the lady on the till was taking everyone's names and phone number to write on a clipboard. She took everyones name in the party, which is not necessary. Then if none of the other staff were around when she took the order she had to get the drinks herself, which took her away from the till. The girls wiping the tables did not do any of the backs of the chairs at all though.
I aksed one of the staff what the soup of the day was, and so went back to my seat so my friend could go to queue up and to choose her order. She queued up for ages to finally get to the till to be told that the soup had all gone. The lady took her drinks order. My friend then came to tell me and so I chose a different meal. My friend then had to go to the back of the queue again, which she should not have had to do. When she got to the till for the second time she was told that my choice of sandwich was not available, so she came to ask me to choose again. We were not allowed to queue together! When she went back down the stairs she had to queue again. In the meantime the drinks arrived.
My friend eventuall appeared with two packets of sandwiches, no plates, serviettes or knives and so I went back down to get them. By this time my friend's drink was cold! I cannot send them an email or message on messenger as there are no contact details on their website. Very poor service.
We went in a cafe the following day to see clip boards on all of the tables, perhaps they could adopt that strategy at James Pringle cafe.
get your act together James Pringle and sort out the cafe.

Plenty of sale items and quality clothing. Always worth a good look round on a wet day. Clothing, household linen, fine china, gifts, toys, chocolates, biscuits and spirits. Dont bother with the on site cafe...extortionate prices for a toasted sandwich. Cross the road and go to the wonderful cafe opposite for food. All home made, all quality and fraction of the price!

Sited just by the Railway Station with the longest placename in the UK, this is a large store selling a wide selection of
personal and household goods.

Many who stop here are probably just curious to see the aforementioned Railway Station, with the placename emblazoned on it. Having done
so it is worth dropping into this Store to peruse it's may lines of Stock. It also has a Cafe for refreshment and Toilet facilities.

There is adequate car parking located at the Storefront.

Major credit cards are accepted.

Always found Pringles excellent but we had a very bad experience in your restaurant.
We queued up for breakfast last Friday morning & without prior notice the lady serving waived her hand in front of us saying breakfast not now available, although was within the advertised time. Did not give a reason & we were very disappointed & surprised.
The lady then stood behind the serving counter with another gentleman having a chat, not showing any interest in offering any food. You would gave thought she would gave finished the queue 1st!!!!
If breakfast was short of food stuff why didn't she offer just eggs or toast etc.
We are unlikely to call in this restsuraht again.

The shop is in a great location to park and take a picture on the train station. You can buy your usual welsh souvenirs as well as the clothing in store.
However, the cafe is not worth the effort. My recommendation is that the cafe owner/management invests in some serious customer service training for its staff and revamps it's menu that it offers.

Large multi-concession shopping outlet. Clothes shops were mainly duds for the retired gentlefolk. If you are a fan of Harris Tweed and 'Are you being Served', you'll love this place. Better on the household and naff gifts side. The car park was a nightmare being mainly reserved for coaches with one narrow passage for cars in and out - chaotic. I certainly wouldn't recommend paying for a coach trip if this was your only destination. Didn't eat here so can't comment. Over all disappointing. There are better shopping complexes in North Wales - The Tweedmill Outlet for example.

My wife and I had a meal both of us felt they were inedible and left them. Mine was the worst Chicken curry I’ve ever looked at and the chips were horribly dry. My wife’s baked potato was well past it’s sell by date and equally dry and horrible This is plain food - you should be able to serve a decent tasty meal.

Dated shop full of overpriced tat and clothes for retired people. The car park was full, so parked in one of the five empty coach bays which takes up a quarter of the whole car park, and was told by a security guard to leave. I gladly obliged.
