Our guide, Allison, gave us a tour that was both informative and fun. It's a place that respects tradition, I liked that. The tasting room is absolutely gorgeous, one of the very best I have ever visited. Our tasting was delicious, relaxed, and unhurried. The entire staff made us feel welcomed. Had a wonderful time. I definitely recommend it!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 5 October 2023
- Ben P2 contributionsBrilliant!Excellent! We did the tour with Alison who was really well informed, patient and answered all our questions. One of the operators also came to speak to our group to answer some things. My dad has to use a stroller to get around and everyone was really helpful and generous with their time, helping him get up stairs etc. The tasting was also excellent and housed in a beautiful faux-Victorian study. Really atmospheric and a unique distillery amongst the local competition. Brilliant.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 October 2023
- Nige_G4Matlock, United Kingdom42 contributionsSuperb Distillery ExperienceMy first ever distillery experience (I’m doing my third tomorrow!). What can I say? I’m no whisky expert, far from it in fact; but I do like a dram or two. Cragganmore responded quickly and were friendly compared with a few others that I emailed. My Wife and I are in a motorhome and I wanted to be able to experience the event fully, including the drinking, without having to worry about driving. Some distilleries didn’t even bother to reply!! My tour was with three other guests and our guide was Gary. It was fun, informative and the information was delivered with great humour. Questions that Gary wasn’t able to answer immediately he got colleague’s to answer; so there was no waffle and / or guesswork. The tasting afterwards was good fun, relaxed and educational. As a result I spent more in the distillery gift shop than I thought I would but I have no regrets. I would definitely recommend Cragganmore to anyone that wants to do a distillery tour. Every person I encountered were really helpful, approachable, knowledgeable and had a passion about where they work. Thank you!!Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 14 October 2023

Women in the shop was lovely too! One of the better distillery tours I’ve done recently. Would highly recommended a visit. Whisky was smashing too 😊🥃Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 16 October 2023
- Rosemary T2 contributionsAuthentic historic whiskey experienceAlison gave us an excellent tour of the distillery explaining all the steps involved in making Cragganmore whiskey. Following we had an excellent tastying experience in one of the original old buildings with antique furniture. Visited a few distilleries before but still learned new things and Cragganmore is unique in a number of ways. Great tasting at the end of the tour. Allison was just lovely and gave us a very warm welcome including some great laughs during the tour and tasting. - Zucker T1 contributionMemories from a father and his sonsWe Made a tour from distillery to distillery and this place was the most familiar one. No cues no hurry and Robbie, as our guide and host during the tour and tasting, gave us all the time and answers we needed. For us this was a special stop on our road trip and still a smile comes on our faces when looking at the fotographs. The scenery was perfect. The tasting in an old room with a fire place and old books under the glasses filled with special spirits and the surrounding outside as well. It was worth every hour we spent there. Best wishes from Germany.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 January 2024

We absolutely loved the tour. We were very well looked after and all Covid precautions were well considered, we felt safe but not at the expense of the experience. Kay was our tour guide and she was great - very knowledgable, informative and friendly. We’d highly recommend this distillery - it was small but had a lovely atmosphere and the product is excellent. There’s no pressure to buy but you’ll want to. We’re not connoisseurs but we were sold!

We visited this distillery yesterday and were shown around by Kay who was so lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us around the distillery and talked about the process of making whisky, and then did a tasting after of four or five different whiskys so it was definitely worth the ticket price. We could tell that Kay is genuinely a whisky lover and I loved hearing about her childhood growing up in a distillery community. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a distillery tour!

Our tour of Cragganmore Distillery was excellent thanks to Carol our guide. Although Cragganmore is much smaller than giants like Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, the smaller tour sizes made everything feel more personalized. The touring of the facilities was excellent, my favorite part was the warehouse, it’s crazy how much cooler it was than the outside air and the smell of maturing whisky delectable.
And everyone’s favorite part, the curated whisky tasting was delectable. Carol gave an excellent narration of each whisky with the right pacing to not feel rushed or like we were wasting time. The tasting room was decorated just right to give a cozy environment to sip our drams. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Had a fantastic tour today with Lauren. We were met with a friendly welcome and the COVID measures they had in place were really well done and well thought out. Due to the restrictions there were only 4 of us on the tour so it felt more personal which I liked. Lauren was very knowledgeable and full of facts and stories. Having visited a number of distilleries in the past this is now one of my favourites, it's small yet full of character and history. Lauren also provided helpful tasting notes in the tasting afterwards, which also helped to influence which whisky I purchased from the shop, which was the distillers edition. As part of a welcome back offer they had on, we were given £5 off our purchase, along with a free glass and bag. As one of the few, if not the only distillery back open after lockdown, this is well worth a visit if you are in Speyside. Thank you Lauren!

visited the distillery on Sunday and had a magical experience led by the knowledgeable and friendly host Susan.
Importantly, we felt very safe from the outset and it was clear a lot of planning had taken place to minimise risk.
The experience within the distillery was great and to top it off the whiskey was beautiful.
Thank you to everyone at the distillery, especially Susan for making our trip so much fun.

As a whisky enthusiast , I was looking forward to visiting the Cardhu Distillery but since the visitor centre there is closed for an upgrade , the excellent alternative was the ' sister ' distillery at Cragganmore , high above the Spey valley. The guide , Natasha , exuded knowledge , charm and enthusiasm . As a driver , it was truly impressive to be provided with small bottles ,allowing me to later enjoy a taste of the 12 year old , Distillers Edition , Distillers Exclusive and also the Cardhu Exclusive .
Last year Cragganmore celebrated its 150th anniversary. No wonder it's described as a ' Speyside great ' .

I took the distillery tour with some of my friends. Allison was our tour guide and she was amazing. She made us feel like at home. This was the last tour we took in Speyside after visiting other distilleries like The Macallan, The Glenlivet, Cardhu and Johnny Walker. I recommend this tour to be either your first one as it is good for beginners or the last one in order to appreciate the craft behind the whole process. We had so much fun with Allison, you can tell she likes her job and welcoming people to the Cragganmore house.

I had a great tour last week with Susan! She was immediately friendly, very easygoing and presented all the technical information in a really understandable way. Because I was driving, I "nosed" along with the explanation of the drams at the end and was very thankful for the printed info to take away with me so I could refer to the tasting notes when I drank them later. Thanks everyone for a very nice visit.

We had a fantastic tour of the distillery with Lauren who was very knowledgable about the whisky making process as well as the history of this distillery. Our Taste the Range tour was followed by a tutored tasting of 6 whiskies in the dunnage. Lauren was very helpful and gave us an overview of each of the different whiskies and the special stories behind them. She also gave us some little tips and different ways to try whisky.
It was reassuring to see that this distillery is taking COVID-19 very seriously, with all of the social distancing measures and hand sanitiser points that have been put in place to help protect the visitors and employees during these uncertain times. We will definitely return here in the near future and I would recommend this ‘off the beaten track’ distillery to anyone!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour with Lauren. The COVID controls were really well planned and once on the tour they ensured at least 2m distance so we didn't have to wear masks in the hot rooms etc. It was reduced to only 4 ppl (we had 3 on ours) which helped make it a bit more personal too. As we had been on a lot of previous distillery tours before Lauren adapted the tour for us and we spent a bit of extra time in the tasting which was really fun.
The distillery itself is typical of a Speyside distillery someone and that's a positive - very picturesque and fantastic malts.
Definitely recommend a visit and also commend Lauren on a great and enjoyable tour for us on our wee holiday.

Is there a tasting room to try the whisky if we don’t have time for a tour?
Written 2 May 2019
Hi, there is a nice shop at the distillery where you can taste whiskies (‘try before you buy’). There is no seating area where you can order full drams.

Hi . Are you open on Sundays at the moment? ? thanks
Written 8 January 2017
Brian is right, the distillery is officially closed until March but if you call them they are offering the opportunity to visit with a very special package - sounds intriguing but not sure if its on a Sunday, you never know! Search Cragganmore distillery - discovering- distilleries and all the contacts and details are there. Enjoy.
