Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Makes a good half-day trip together with a nearby Laem Sor Pagoda. We continued from the pagoda along the beach and found a nice secluded beach bar and restaurant with hammocks, solid meal and nice cocktails :)

This is a super steep road to get there and many park at the bottom and walk up. No buses can get up there and doubling on a motor bike is definitely not suggested. It has recently been painted and is in great condition. Go here on a clear day and you can see at least 200 degree around. Great views.

While most people are interested to go to Bug Buddha (Which I did too), I decided to find some off the beaten path attraction and got myself in here. Being a person who loves silence, I found this place serene and peaceful. It has a great vibe which I am sure will attract many tourists in the future. Highly recommended to those who want to avoid the typical crowd.

This used to be quite a magical place in that it was spotless and kept very well, I am sorry to say that this is not the case now as it looks neglected and relatively dirty and unswept. Its only really redeeming point is the spectacular setting that it is in; incredible views exist all around!

The temple was a little too quiet with no one around and not well maintained.
A steep walk up the hill with outstanding views overlooking the coast.

We climbed the many steps to the temple and as the many photos show it’s an interesting place to visit. There are magnificent views from the terraces and you can even hear the surf coming over the reef - it’s very peaceful. Well worth a visit

Indeed getting up there is not dead easy.. But if you have a motorbike and are not a beginner in driving these, it's really no problem.
If you are someone who doesn't need big entertainment or Mammut Statues and Temples to get stimulated, this sweet and rather small temple complex will give you smiles. Apart from the small to bigger statues which are all lovingly placed, you have a very, very nice view over the whole Laem Sor (and can even get a glance of Lamai). You see lots of green and lots of the sea from above. Just wonderful. If you walk to the opposite side, you have a very nice view over the ocean.
It would be nice, if you would also donate a little bit for the monks that take great care of this place and the cute dogs that had no home before. And as in every temple complex, dress respectfully & accordingly! Enjoy!

We visited this place on a slow day and had a nice stoll there. Buddha statues are nice however if You've seen the Big Buddha, its tough to get impressed by these.
The unpleasant side was that right after we arrived another scooter came as well and the man driving it remained on the lower level while we looked around. We didn't stay long and as we walked back I saw this guy (on the picture) walk away from our scooter at fast pace. Sensing something wrong we tryied to crab few pictures of the thief (we weren't certain at that time) while he took off and once we reach scooter we saw that thief had tried to pull our bag from under the seat compartment. Some parts of the bag were out but he didn't succeed this time (all the belongings were there). He seemed local, so watch out for white-green scooter, incase this is his favorite nicking spot. Also, definitely don't leave anything on the scooter.

We visited Wat Cheri today as part of an island cab tour - it was the highlight of our trip - beautifully peaceful and with wonderful views. We were the only people there when we visited. A stunning sleeping Buddha and one not to miss.

Discovered quite by accident. Very fortunate to have a car, because the approach was very steep. Lovely views down the south coast of Koh Samui. A gleaming reclining Buddha and a baby Buddha. A monk was sweeping the steps when I arrived. Very isolated and a place of solitude.
