Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My family and I visited Pommard in August 2014 and I asked Delphine at Les Domaines de Pommard (a small independent wine shop) to recommend a couple bottles of Pommard Pinot to bring home with me. Delphine suggested the 2011 Domaine LeJeune Les Poutures and 2011 Domaine JM Boillot Jarollieres. She also made me promise that I would not drink them until at least 2016! Well, my wife and I enjoyed them over the 2019/2020 Christmas holidays.
This was a culturally rich experience and I will certainly visit the wineries during my next visit to Pommard. BTW, Domaine leJeune has a fantastic Instagram account!

Was nice that we were able to reserve a tasting in advance, especially the fact that it was within harvest time. Smaller winery with wonderful wines! Prices quite fair as well. We bought several wines and all have made their way safely back to our cellar in California.

After some searching on the web for a winery I thought would suit our family, I came across Domaine Le Jeune in Pommard. Described as a small family run business happy to do tours. Tried to phone ahead but it went through to a machine. Since it was our last morning in Burgandy we decided to head there anyway and try our luck. It’s situated beautifully on the square surrounding the church. We strolled in, my husband in a wheelchair, and asked the lady if we could just have a quick look at the wine barrels to show our young son and then we’d leave, as we could see she was busy. But she couldn’t have been more gracious and put down her work and took us on a little tour. We were so grateful for her knowledge and kindness and even though it was maybe 15 minutes to see the process and taste a couple of wines, it absolutely made our trip to Burgandy complete. And the wines were fabulous as well. Highly recommend for a personal experience.

We had a private tour through the small cellars and production area. The owner was super informative and extremely accommodating in answering questions. The tasting was great and the wines were the best we've had in Burgundy. The tour and tasting was free as we bought quite a few bottles. It was a very small place, but it had such a wonderful ambience.

First vineyard visit for us and couldn’t have picked a better one. The owner took the time to explain lots of things to us, and show us around before the tastimg started. This is a nice family run business. Their wines are delicious. I highly recommend this place.

A small family winery in Pommard. Even though grapes were being crushed while we were there the winemaker took the time to make us feel welcome. A dream of 40+ years to visit Burgundy and it was all and more than anticipated. After seeing what goes in to making wine it is understandable that the best wine in such a small appellation is such a treat to consume. I had a couple cases shipped back home because I cannot buy it at our local wine shop.

Our group of 4 really enjoyed the personal tour and tasting offered to us at this small first class winery. We called ahead and scheduled an appointment. We were greeted by Monsieur Jullien de Pommerol who explained the wine making process, described the terroir and various appellations, showed us around the cellars and the oldest oak wine vat in Burgundy. The chardonnay Puligny-Montrachet was excellent and the reds were all fantastic and relatively reasonably priced. We bought a couple of bottles of the Bourgogne rouge for picnicking during our continued travels and had 6 bottles shipped home (2 chardonnays and 4 Pommard Les Trois Follots which arrived with no problem). As the sign in the office says - a meal without wine must be breakfast. Merci beaucoup Domaine Lejeune.

Great visit during the harvest. The wine maker was very friendly and gave us an overview of their process and provided a number of wines to taste. Enjoyed all of the wines, especially the Argillieres. Pommard is a nice town to visit, and this is a good stop to include.

Went on a day-long Burgundy wine tour. A wonderful, lovely winery committed to producing quality artisan wines, my personal favorite being the Pommard Rugiens Ier Cru 2005.

They spent a lot of time talking to us about every step of their wine making process. Their wines were fantastic and reasonably priced given the area.

We will be visiting Beaune from October 14 - 18 and would like to visit, but my French is not very good. Does someone on staff speak English?
Is an appointment required?
Thanks!
