Cerro Arequita is about 20km north of Minas, and public transit does go there (from the omnibus terminal in town). You can visit just for the day, or you can camp in (very) nearby Camping Arequita. They have cabanas (though I don't know the cost),...More

All the credits to landscape! Great place to hike, admire and camp. The rocks are beautiful and don't miss the "Ombues forest". The visit to the cave is paid, as well as the camping site and lake access.
