Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unique location. It is the fountain of the River, which is divided into a dam zone and a beach and leisure zone.
Location with a beautiful waterfall and plenty of space for diving and swimming, in the middle of the mountain. There are many pedestrian trails. Access to the Black well to the left of the snack park by a trail, down carefully for about 3 minutes. Clean water and it's a spectacular place!
The negative part is that the road access to the site is for 1 km in ground and gravel. And worse, 550 mts from the site and where the path is steepest, the road has a hole with stones, which only allows access to jeeps, if not this was a perfect place for fantastic and unique afternoons.
Please arrange the road, so you can return, because the slope of the 550 MTS is very sharp and difficult for those who are not used to hiking.

An amazing natural lake and waterfall, surrounded by stones and a lot of green nature.
It's a great spot to swim and relax, enjoying the nature untouched.

The descending is easy, but to get back to the road is a long walk but worth definitely for the peace and nature found in the bottom

Is also not easy to park the car and it's the only way to get there.

NOTE: If you visit this place, do your best to leave it as you found it, bring back all your trash.

We are lucky in New Zealand to have access to exquisite swimming holes, and this was far up there for beauty.

Quite a trek down (and of course up) but a lovely cool place to spend a hot day. There are other pools along the river that can be accessed by means of the GR long distance path as it exits Soajo towards Cunhais, at the point where it meets the river

After a long day trekking the national park this is a great place to take a dip. Water is clear and it’s possible to jump off the cliffs (approx 3-5 meters).

Small trail leads to several sunny spots with small rapids and pools. Great for the kids! We brought wetsuits

Nice small sximming pool with waterfall. Go there around 17.00, then it becomes more quiet.
Ideal for jumps of the rocks, in the water

The most beautiful natural pools that I have ever seen. The water is chilly but bearable! Please leave it as you found it, would be such a shame if this spot became a messy tourist trap. Such a tranquil and amazing afternoon at the pool!

A perfect spot for a hot summer day!
Beautiful natural ponds, crystal clear cold water and lots of shade around. We spent there two August hot afternoons and enjoyed every second.
Bear in mind, though, that there's some 50 meters of descent from the road (with good wooden stairs), but once down you must be of minimal coordination and physical ability to step from one rock to another.
