Been meaning to visit the Abbey for years. I think the permissive path from Ludhiana Bridge is the answer! Lovely riverside walk leads to the Abbey and the open skies of the Broads.

We arrived here by boat during our stay. An absolute must when travelling in this area. When we went up close to the Abbey, it was not what I was expecting. An amazing structure that you have to see to believe. Only a 30 minute...More

We moored for lunch and decided to take a look around this historic site. Amazed at how big the abbey used to be and what part in history it played worth a visit to find out

Very photogenic in the golden hour....peaceful, intriguing, lovely countryside. Room for the dog to run whilst I took some interesting photos inside and outside the walls....go to the Cross and listen to the history at the bench....drink in the atmosphere!

Best to get to St Benet's by boat, you can see the abbey ruins for miles either side along the river. If you manage to moor up you really should explore on foot. The gatehouse (with it's windmill tower) is easiest to see but a...More
