Welcome to the Wherry Albion, a traditional Norfolk Wherry built in 1898, and known as a ‘black sailed trader’ she is one of only two remaining trading vessels built specifically for the Norfolk Broads. BBC Countryfile Magazine has named Albion as one of the Top 10 Boat Trips in the UK. Pre-booking essential, refer to the charter section of our website for prices/discounts. Fantastic day on the Albion. Lovely way to spend the day with friends and a terrific crew of volunteers. Nick and crew were lovely hosts, knowledgeable, friendly and happy to share their love of the boat as we meandered down the Broads. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant 75th birthday celebration for my husband on the Albion with 12 family and friends. The volunteer crew who maintain this beautiful historic Broads boat made the experience memorable. They were warm and welcoming, encouraging everyone to take the helm and join in and had a wealth of knowledge about the Broads area and these boats. The kitchen below is well equpped for teas and coffees and we took cake and fizz. It was great fun and a big thank to Martin and the crew for making the occasion one to remember.

Spent a wonderful day on Saturday on the Albion. Sailing was great and this impressive boat caught the attention of everyone we encountered. Many thanks to Neil and his crew whose knowledge and good humour certainly added to make this a day to remember. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and can’t wait to do it again!

We had an amazing morning showing the Norfolk Broads and the fabulous Albion to our Italian friends and our grandchild. A very different experience and everyone enjoyed themselves enormously.

Went on a trip yesterday with the Hike Norfolk on the Albion,,it was truly amazing, I came back very relaxed, the crew and team, the 3 musketeers, were all absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable, safety, humour , and all round part of the team ,

Just returned from a wonderful day out on this unique vessel. The weather was exceptional, and couldn’t have wished for better. Many thanks to Dave and the crew for there knowledge of the boat, and broads. Would certainly recommend this a day out.

Neil and his crew were knowledgable, relaxed and safety conscious. The relaxing pace is perfect for watching the world go by, and we had the bonus of seeing Bitterns, Marsh Harriers, and other wildlife.

Bitterns! So lucky, as a local I still haven’t seen one. Just heard them. Glad you enjoyed your trip, it is so relaxing just to meander along.

A sailing on a wherry has to be one of the top ten things to do on a visit to the Broads (or for locals). As well as being immensely relaxing, sailing along the river or on a Broad gives a completely different perspective and offers access to wildlife not easily gained another way. Our sailing included lunch, which was superb. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful day on the Albion! The crew were marvellous made sure everyone had a great day . We had a wide age range in our party from age 4 to 87 and everyone was able to enjoy themselves.
