About
Chateau Dauzac, a 5th growth Grand Cru Classe Margaux wine according to the 1855 classification, has the enormous privilege of having a one-block 49-hectare vineyard: 45 hectares with the Margaux appellation and four hectares with the Haut-Medoc appellation. Located near the Gironde estuary whose influence on the vineyard’s ecosystem is critical, the property is protected from ocean winds thanks to 120 hectares of meadows and forests. This agronomic bubble and unique terroir have made it possible to develop precision farming, highlighting the exceptional characteristics of this Grand Cru Classe wine.

Chateau Dauzac is one of the most Beautiful Vineyards I have had the pleasure of visiting. As you pull up to the Entrance, you can't help become more excited about the visit!! Our group was greeted by the lovely Kateryna~ She is what I call a Unicorn because she speaks fluentenly in French & English! Most Vineyards require you to have a French speaking person who can translate during the wine tour. Luckily for me I was the only person out of my group who did not speak French. It was a terrific experience having Kateryna be able to explain things to me in English so that I didn't depend on my group translating everything to me. I was getting the information straight from the Host. She was very professional, pleasant and polite. Kateryna went above and behind to give us the Best tour. The wine tasting was Great. We tasted around 3-4 different wines. It was fantastic we had the ability to buy wine on the spot. I also had wine shipped to Los Angeles and the wine arrived fast. Over all this was a 10 out of 10. If I could rate Kateryna from 1-10, she is a 20! Make sure to ask for her when making an appointment~ Christina Mendez Los Angeles California

We visited Chataeau Dauzac as part of an individual tour through various Bordeaux Chateaus. We were very impressed with the passion and ambition Dauzac is producing wine and liked the tasting of the final product. Especially interesting is the focus they put on ecological and sustainable production. Our guide Léa was super friendly and competent, we learned a lot through the visit.

The wines are top notch, but so are many others. What sets this places differently from others is their professional and friendly attitude. Staff speak good English, they are very knowledgeable and look after their visitors.
The shop is well laid out and easy to select your favorite wines.
The castle itself is beautiful with fountains and all.

If you’re staying downtown bordeaux, this is the perfect château to visit. About 30 minutes drive from downtown you will find this Grand Cru property making extraordinarily great wines with lots of interesting tourism opportunities. It’s a beautiful property worth visiting.

We had a morning tour of the vineyard and cellar door tasting. It was fun and our host from the Chateau was a very knowledgeable and helpful young woman. The wines were lovely and I am hoping to find suppliers back in Sydney.

A beautifully maintained and equipped property. We took a complete tour with tasting and were impressed by the effort that our guide made to involve us, including a well thought out booklet with a number of quizzes to test our understanding!

We wanted a winery where we could just taste vs the full on tour - after already doing several. Chateaux Dauzac was excellent for this purpose. Nice tasting room and ability to taste a couple of their wines. It's also a beautiful property.
