Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the winery and had a thorough explanation about the area and the wines. We did not stay overnight but added a walk up the hill to the ruins of the old castle. Tasted all sorts of wines but could not buy all we wanted, since we came from abroad (Israel and US). A visit most recommended, so are the wines. And if you exchange email addresses and they use the word "shtrudle" for the sign "@" - we are to blame

Friendly, generous, and interesting. We were greeted by a very enthousiastic and well informed guide. The range of wines were impressive and we all tasted the wines with a smile.

We came on appointment to Chateau du Cros. Winemaker Julien Noel was very friendly - he showed us round and the tasting of their sweet wines really made us forget that expensive stuff from the other bank of the Garonne!

Just pitched up en route to the airport and home. Entertaining and informative explanations from Julian, who clearly loves his work. Delicious wines, and left with a bottle of sweet (not dessert!) wine, which we shall be enjoying with smoked salmon.
Wear comfy shoes and you'll enjoy a walk up to the ruins of the chateau for some fab views.

Many thanks for hospitality, we were warmly welcomed, and we spent 1 hour in wine cellar talking about wine and the terroir of Loupiac. I strongly recommend it, hopefully once I can come back :)

How do you choose a vineyard in Bordeaux? In our case, our surname is Cross so there is an off chance we are related to the original knight....or did we just fancy a bottle with our surname on the label. We arrived without an appointment but were welcomed by a young man who gave us a full tasting session of the Chateau du Cros wines, no hurry, no sell, just a passion for his wine. We learned loads and fell in love with the Loupiac 2003, despite us not being fans of sweet wine. The white wine is very drinkable, as are both red wines. Well worth a visit - thank you
