Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our third tour of the day and the weather was the warmest day of the year at that time so everyone was a bit tired. Our guide was very accommodating and kept us indoors as much as possible.

The winery makes two wines, Ch. Brannier Ducru is their primary bottling and the Duluc de Brannier Ducru is made with grapes from their younger vines less than 15 years old. The winery uses gravity to fill the temperature controlled tanks.

The two wines tasted were both nice with our preference being the 2008 Ch.Branaire over the 2006 Duluc. If you are in the area it is basically across the street from Chateau Beychevelle.

Our guide, Cindy, was delightful--smart, funny and informative. My husband and I got a private tour of the beautiful vineyards, barrel room and tank room. We met winemaker and cellar workers along the way and all were very cordial. And the wine! C'est tres bon!If only visit one chateau in Bordeaux, make it Chateau Branaire-Ducru.

Really excellent private tour with a wonderful guide who used a variety of methods to help to explain the various processes, so much more informative than other Château. The wine is lovely too which helps!

We did a private tour and tasting (by appointment) at Chateaux Branaire-Ducru in the St. Julien area near Bordeaux. This was a great experience as our guide (Cindy Rodriguez) spoke great English, and was a veritable fountain of information about the entirety of wine making and viticulture. The vineyard is amazing, and you go away with a deeper appreciation of what it takes to make such fine wine.

We were about a dozen in the group (you must make an appointment in advance). They started on time, the guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions in detail. She had a tablet with videos demonstrating the process , this was followed by actual visit of the stills and the barrels where the aging is done. Harvesting is done manually. Finally, the tasting was very professional. Cost: a modest €7. You could buy wine on the premises. If you can find the chateau, since signage is as bad as everywhere else in the area.

On a beautiful sunny day the Medoc is a wonderful place to be.

To be there and to drink wine just makes it a perfect day.

Chateau Branaire is a small vineyard which specialises in high end reds. The chateau itself is gorgeous in creamy buff stone with well tended grounds.

Our guide, Cindy, was a delight, explaining how the process works from the planting to the final bottling.

A great day thoroughly recommend.

We booked this wine tour - it set off very early on a Saturday but it doesn't disappoint us - this is a great vine yard! The lady who received us is so lovely and wonderful - we learnt so much from her. She took the group picture for us - can't wait to see!

A truly grand and beautiful chateau. The wine is one of the best value luxury wines in the world. When visiting Bordeaux, I would highly recommend visiting Chateau Branaire Ducru in St Julien.
