This is a great day out for the kids (and adults with an interest in military history). Lots of decommissioned equipment to see/touch/jump into, including a patrol boat armed with missiles! I think we paid just OMR1 per adult. Children allowed in free. We were...More

The museum is located in an old fort in a military site. You get an idea of Omanian history and can view lots of military equipment.

This is a cracking museum with as much to see outside as there is inside. Firstly, get there early because it closes early. Sunday to Thursday it is open 0800-1330. And Saturday it is open 0900-1200 and 1500-1800. Unfortunately the day we visited, the museum...More

Very good displays of the history of the Armed Forces and Oman in general. 1 OMR entrance or free as I was with an ex - Army officer and we had a very good guide from the Royal Guard.

If you are interested in knowing about Oman's history of Armed forces you can visit this place and spend 1 to 1 and half hour. Our army guide was very polite and helped us in understanding the armed force history, culture. Entry fee is minimal.
