This museum is the achievement of one private investor. The collections are rare and ver, very old. This makes it quite interesting. There are five galleries. You can take photos except of the prints. The artifacts are from the history of Oman

Very well presented, the museum is small simple light and airy and the exhibits a mixed collection of Omani and foreign artifacts, it also has a small outside garden, that is worth a browse too.

we visited several times here also but always something new we explored. Great for the younger children to show their ancient heritage from Oman.

As we did the Omani National Museum first, we could compare. It is relatively small, it is cheaper. We were not very impressed. A 30 minutes visit. No pictures allowed.

Bait al Zubair is a great museum with number of good exhibitions. I’m impressed especially on seafare and some of the modern art. A bit more expensive than some other museums but definitely worth it!

This museum was 1 OR entry - much cheaper than the National Museum - and for that value was very interesting. The air conditioning helped for a break from being outside (!) and I learned plenty about Muscat and Oman. There are buttons to press...More

I went there with my 10-year old daughter on a Saturday afternoon and I was glad I visited this museum. It is not too big that you have to spend hours especially with a ten-year old. It is just nice for a 45 minutes visit...More

Use GPS to get there. Billy easy to find. Should be allowed to stay in the US you should have no problem finding a place to park. There is a small entrance fee. Enjoy

There is a gift shop in Bait al Zubair. They have nice souvenirs which are nicely packed. They have variety and small items are reasonably priced.
