Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its a beautiful beach, around 1 hour away from muscat city. Also note there is absolutely no sand on the beach and it can get hard to get in the water

We camped with family and friends on the night of 31/12/18 to bring in the new year 01/01/19 at a pebble beach in the Fins area. Got there in the dark, found a beauty spot where there was a little sand amongst the pebbles and pitched our tents before we got the Bbq and fire pit all fired up for dinner and drinks. Brought in the new year with friends and stayed up all night watching the gorgeous luminescence in the ocean which lit up the waves like they had LED lights in them and talking about New Years resolutions . However at 3 am along strolls a stranger into our camp asking for tea which we found extremely odd at that hour since we were the only ones awake at that time. He was harmless though since he disappeared after we chatted to him a little. Next day Ocean brought in wave after wave of green algae so the kids couldn’t go swimming which was disappointing. We packed up our campsite after a good breakfast and got rid of our trash in designated trash bins provided by the beachside. Do try to leave only footprints and not trash. Lovely way to bring in the New year , pity about the algae which we were told is a consequence of ocean temperatures rising 😢

A some what rare sight were one should find sand there only shiny round pebbles of all shapes and size. Being perfect weather at this time of the year mid Nov the cool breeze didn't make the sun heat being felt. There was hardly any public so one swimming in the blue waters like a dream.

We visited this beach on our way to Sur. It is possible to park the car right next to the beach. It is very rare to see such beach with millions of pebbles. Sunset was amazing here, definitely recommend to stop here for a while. It is very quiet place, we were alone here. And it is possible to overnight in a tent here.

You would rarely find a beach that has no sand but only pebbles. Really a must visit as it is unique. Very comfortable lying on the pebbles, kids will enjoy it. There is a resort called Wadi Shab resort overlooking this beach, we have stayed there also. A nice place. Directions to find this place is to drive towards Sur on the highway and take the Tiwi exit or you can even follow the signboard to Wadi Shab resort.

Visited Pebble Beach and the views are breathtaking, beautiful clear blue waters lapping gently on soft golden sands, millions of pebbles as far as the eye can see, against the back-drop of rugged rocks formed over thousands of years of natural erosion. However be warned for all the natural beauty the area is very secluded only accessible by vehicles, there are no services around for miles, only the Wadi Shab Resort that has very limited opening hours. If visiting Pebble Beach, make sure you travel there fully prepared with adequate food provisions and copious supplies of water. You will not need a 4x4 as you can park virtually on the side of Route 17 that passes directly by the beach. One other tip make sure you have suitable foot attire that is both waterproof yet thick soled, as walking on those pebbles can start to feel really uncomfortable after a while...Ifound crocs are the perfect footwear. The most up-setting part of our visit was all the litter concealed every where, this has most probably been deposited by visitors who are so inconsiderate and do not take their litter home!

between Sur and Muscat on the way - after Sur you will pass by cliffs, not so high, but just natural and you can see swimming turtles if you are lucky - continuing you will meet Pebble Beach - go there, walk it and find beautiful stones, corals, fish bones - just a place of nature pure !

Apparently one of the few only pebble beaches in the world. You will find pebbles of all shapes and sizes here. The sound the waves make while returning after hitting the pebbles is very interesting. And also to watch the pebbles bounce when the waves hit them. The limestone provides some shade for a picnic. Must visit on the way to Sur.
