This small winery reflects the story of Priorat as a wine making region. It was started by the grandparents decades ago and is now carried forward by two young and energetic sisters and their father. During that time, Priorat wines developed from a local agricultural experiment to become one of the most select wine growing regions in Spain. The winery tour focuses on the methods used to craft the grapes into luscious wines, mostly red. The family winery makes less than a dozen wines, and you get to try their best offerings during the wine tasting. This usually is not the case with wine tastings that limit you only to their cheaper wines. We did the tour with the younger sister, who spoke good English and explained all the processes knowledgeably and thoroughly. We learned a lot about the different grapes they grow and what each contributes to their blends. So it was as educational as it was enjoyable. We had a great tour around the winery - the fluent English of our guide alongside her very strong knowledge of the whole wine making process made this a very memorable day - and wine tasting at the end was great too!

We have been there once exploring the village of Porrera. All the wineries located in this small village are adorable and reveal the secrets of winemaking. We had a visit with Maria, a daughter and enologist of the winery. And we really get inspired every time when women succeed in the business run mainly by men. The winery is really small with annual production of just 25 thousand of bottles. Among them there are mainly red wines, but they do produce one white and one sweet as well. Nice time spent with a knowledgable person followed by a tasting of almost all the wines they produce. Recommended.…

Once our Spanish talent is rather small, we did not get all what the charming owner of the winery said. But those people have pure passion, great wines and don't count the hours. We had interesting time despite of the language issue, because they do not speak English and our group concisted mostly of local wine fans.…
