We chose a day when the bird hunters were out But they let us pass and we found the beach, which has a ruin of a stone fisherman's house (?) on the very edge of the water. Similar carved limestone rocks as Scala dei Turchi.

Just standing on the top of the cliffs before the descent to see the Scala dei Tuerchi, this view shows the various hews of blues that the sea offers on a beautiful day! Although a small place it is unique along this coast. A must...More

Nice place, but be careful, there are two ways to go there, one is terrible ( we thougt we have to go back, really bad) and is the one recommended in google maps. The other path is ok.

Punta Bianca is a unique spot. It is a white stone formation (similar but smaller than the closeby Scala dei Turchi) over the blue Sicilian sea. Quite easy to reach the place by car, although it requires some km of dirt road. So much less...More

When you are traveling in a hire car you are very mindful of the terrain, sadly the access roads were awful, although we tried to continue along the tracks (even with all of us, except the driver, leaving the vehicle) we had to abandon our...More

Somehow I read that this was a WWF (creatures not wrestlers) site which I assumed meant a staffed centre and some waif and stray turtles. There was none of that but it was a pleasant walk with some varied woodland, sea, beach and mountain from...More

It's about a 15 minute drive from Agrigento and then a 10 minute walk after you park your car but it's an amazing natural phenomenon. You can go, eat at a restaurant by the road overlooking the beach and then take the stairs down.
