Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lakeside bistros, lapping water just 24 inches away, Bardolino is a must, we visited on a Thursday, market day - the biggest market for a small town I have ever seen, stretching around the lake. I had a leather belt made for me, lots of clothing, leather goods, jewellery, gifts ideas, Paradise for the shopper!! Bardolino also has serious wine connections, visit the fattorias and taste. Vineyards are everywhere.

A lovely walk from Bardolino either to Garda or Lazize with plenty of places to stop for a drink or snack en route . Well lit after dark .I cannot mark as excellent due to fact path is narrow in places and sharing the footpath with a large number of cyclists who expect priority !

This is a lakeside pathway that runs from Bardolino to Garda.
We hired cycles from our hotel and rode along it to Garda on the way to climb up a rocky promontory and view point called Rocco- it is flat and easy but picturesque and Garda is a pretty town worth visiting.
The walk up Rocca was not strenuous and well worth the effort seeing a red squirrel and lots of butterflies and found a lovely restaurant 1/2 way down for a much needed beer followed by a gentle cycle back to our hotel in Bardolino.
The path continues in the other direction to a small town called cisano where there is a small natural history museum that worth a visit and 3km further on is Lazise an ancient fortified town that must not be missed. These towns can all be visited by the lake ferries from Bardolino pier too

This could be a lovely walk, but it is spolit by cyclists who belive walkers should get out of their way. You have to have eyes in the back of your head to stay alive. Even on the no cycling parts they still cycle. A real shame as its a lovely walk with beautiful scenery.

My wife and I walked from south of Bardolino to Garda and really enjoyed this traffic free foot/bike path. It is level and even and you need to be aware of cyclists at all times but that doesn’t detract from the pleasure. There are numerous places to stop and rest to take refreshment if you wish, but we resisted the temptation until we got to Garda.
Instead of walking back to Bardolino we caught the 13.30 ferry which took just ten minutes to return us to Bardolino at the cost of 3€ each, well worth it.
Fitter, younger people will no doubt walk both ways!!

The busy lakeside highway is never far away, but this lakeside path offers a more pleasant and attractive route to walk and cycle between Lazise, Bardolino and Garda. Plenty of lakeside cafes and restaurants. Some conflict between walkers and cyclists at busy times and where path narrows.

If you want to visit typical italian restaurant or go to swim, try many beaches, taste ice cream etc. Go there but for a walk, not on a bike. " pista ciclo" is absolutely not CICLO!!!!

The lagolungo, a separate well-made foot and cycle path in partial shade beside the water linking the three towns. Plenty of quiet bars and food stops.

If you want a good walk during your holiday this is the one to do, it takes almost two hours but there are so many places you can stop un the way and so many places to have a drink and a break.
It is not difficult at all, it is straight not hills up or down the only thing you have to look out for is bycicles, the patch is busy and most of the byciclers do not that much concideration to the people walking on the paths.
But It is a beautiful walk along the lake so get out and enjoy it.

Is this a scenic walk of surrounding lake Garda? When is the best time to avoid crowds and still enjoy this walk?
Written 2 August 2016
Probably about 5 or 6 miles long. Lovely walk along the side of the lake. There is plenty of room for walkers but there are a lot of cyclists. Avoid weekends and you should be fine
