This was the absolute highlight of visiting Brescia. I wandered through the winding paths for a few hours - had a picnic lunch, read my book, etc. It's a low key activity that is welcome when you've been visiting multiple museums, churches, and galleries every day. I was there in Autumn and it was absolutely gorgeous and nearly empty.

Loved it. No entrance fee and you can spend several hours taking in the beauty. Several paths throughout, lots of trees and plants. Appropriate for families with small children as they're able to run around and there's fences all long the dangerous parts. Very few people present when we went.

We decided to check out this castle as there wasn't any admission fee. There were some steps but thank God that wasn't too physical. Besides, it was gorgeous weather so that was our daily exercise. We went on a Sunday afternoon where there wasn't too many folks. You'll see cross a draw bridge and then reached into the castle. Not... More

The castle is located almost on city center, over the hill with a very nice view of Brescia city and around. It has access by car or bus. You may also walk through the trails. The castle itself is nice, with many buildings composing it.

My favorite part of Brescia! I recommend a nice walk from the city center to the castle, where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole city.

Tortuous paths lead up to the castle, across park and woods, until you reach the large fortress. Through the main gate, following further winding paths, luscious gardens and meadows, you take gradually in the surrounding countryside and town at the foot of the stronghold. Walks inside the keep and up many stairways lead to the sighting towers and to the... More

We stepped out from a long business day to have a stroll around the castle. Such a glorious half day have been. The views over the city are spectacular and the history lesson has been well learned.

We always visit local castles to learn about the history of the place we are visiting. This castle fits in this category perfectly. Not the most exciting place or lavish but definitely worth visiting

We walked up to the castle around sunset. The views are spectacular and would be lovely either by day or by night.
