In this place You can have a beautiful view of the town overlooking all the different historical sites from the Romans age thru the Middle Age Santa Giulia Complex and up to '900 time. You can visit the Gun and Swords Museum too inside the Castle named the "Falco d'Italia" (Italian Hawk). There is also a wide park with secular... More

A lot of stairs to access the castle, so it's not recomended to elder people. But, if you can, go there and see that enormous castle with great walls, towers and, also, a good view of the whole city.

The Brescia castle is located relatively close to the Santa Giulia museum, but is quite the climb. Nevertheless it is worth it! For those who are a fan of Medieval history, this museum has an impressive collection of Medieval weaponry and armory. It's a small collection, so easily done in an hour or less.

This was the absolute highlight of visiting Brescia. I wandered through the winding paths for a few hours - had a picnic lunch, read my book, etc. It's a low key activity that is welcome when you've been visiting multiple museums, churches, and galleries every day. I was there in Autumn and it was absolutely gorgeous and nearly empty.

Loved it. No entrance fee and you can spend several hours taking in the beauty. Several paths throughout, lots of trees and plants. Appropriate for families with small children as they're able to run around and there's fences all long the dangerous parts. Very few people present when we went.

We decided to check out this castle as there wasn't any admission fee. There were some steps but thank God that wasn't too physical. Besides, it was gorgeous weather so that was our daily exercise. We went on a Sunday afternoon where there wasn't too many folks. You'll see cross a draw bridge and then reached into the castle. Not... More

The castle is located almost on city center, over the hill with a very nice view of Brescia city and around. It has access by car or bus. You may also walk through the trails. The castle itself is nice, with many buildings composing it.
