My father was in the Polish 2nd corps and I wanted to understand more about the battle of Monte Cassino which he was so proud to have been part of. Danila has done her homework and is very knowledgeable about the Poles in Italy and took us to all the key sites of the battles. During the day we visited... More

Our family of six spent three days in Rome and one day in Ostia Antica with Danila and we enjoyed ourselves so much thanks to her great suggestions in advance and her friendly and generous assistance during our visit. We learned of Danila's tour service through a friend, and Danila helped us plan our stay via email, then took us... More

We are a bunch of 8 blokes with an interest in military history. We found Danila on the internet and she led our tour to Cassio, Anzio and Rome. She organised everything for us and laid everything on a plate (including lots of pasta and wine). Our group had a great 3 days touring thanks to Danila. Would most highly... More

If you want a knowledgeable, friendly, generous guide, to give you a real insight into what happened during the Italy campaign Danila is the Guide for you. Danila has a superb knowledge of the battles around Cassino and my day there with her made for some unforgettable moments. To visit my uncle's grave in the beautiful and serene War Cemetery was an emotional experience enhanced by Danila's knowledge of the battles in which he and my Dad fought in 1943-44. Grazie Danila.

Dr. Danila Bracaglia is an incredibly generous, thoughtful, and helpful guide. My US Army Battalion conducted a Staff Ride to Rome, Anzio and Cassino last week with 60 officers. Starting in December, Danila assisted us with planning the schedule, recommending readings, and providing detailed addresses for where our large buses could both park and drop us off. She was incredibly... More

Danila was a brilliant guide for my grandfather who is a veteran of the Free French forces in Cassino where he lost friends and his youth to the campaign. She doesn't speak French but she was kindness itself and introduced him to Don Germane who was a Monk when the Abbey was bombed and they both witnessed the destruction from... More

We are a group of five companions who regularly visit the battlefields of WWII, typically with a tour guide. We reached out to Danila after reading about her on the Internet. During a full day, she guided us around the battlefield(s) of Monte Cassino significantly adding to our knowledge. She did so with genuine enthusiasm and a great sense of... More

We found Danila on the Web after another tour had cancelled, and boy were we lucky. We had spent significant time researching the Allies battle to Rome, and we spent 6 days with Danila following the US Fifth Army route from Paestum/Salerno through Cassino and to Anzio/Nettuno and Rome. Danila is an expert on this aspect of WWII history, having... More
