We really enjoyed our stay in Cefalu. The town is a little less touristy as Taormina so you aren't battling large amounts of people at all times. The beaches were fantastic - instead of rocks like most of Italy/Sicily, it was a very soft sand....More

Cefalu is quite beautiful to look at with its cliff hanging buildings and old cobbled streets. Sadly though as all such places it has been tarnished with all things tourist, from tacky trinkets to an explosion of too many eateries and packed tiny beaches. Parking...More

Beautiful absolutely wonderful place. Everything from the history and the architecture to the best beaches in Italy. The amazing sunsets and incredible hospitality of the people makes Cefalu a mandatory destination for anyone traveling to Sicily.

This was by far the best beach if you're trying to balance these attributes: sand softness; water color; water clarity; gentle sloping (good for kids); small crowds. It was also very nice to be able to walk 5 minutes from touring (cathedrals and La Rocca)...More

We stayed on the Cefalu Sea Palace which is has its own stretch of breath opposite the hotel and it's own swimming pool. Just a short walk into the town.

There is a train that goes from Palermo to Cefalu. The ride was a little over and hour and the cost was around 15 euro. Definitely take the train, very easy and affordable!
