This duomo has beautiful mosiacs. We had the opportunity to see it's "arch rival" in Palermo to compare. This one is smaller but still quite nice. It's located in a picturesque piazza under the mountain.
The atmosphere was completely Italian. The surrounding cobblestone lanes - all accessible via car - sort of. Lots of photo ops and shopping available. Lots of people watching too. A great walking experience.
