Go first thing in the morning to avoid the heat. The views from the top of la Rocco are unparalleled . From the top you can look out over the ocean or the beautifulcathedral and city of Cefalu. It’s a must!

Getting halfway up involves some rigorous stair climbing, but the views of the old town with its Duomo and the beach and sea are well worth it. The slippery, strenuous extra climb to the castle was not - conserve your energy for hiking the beautiful...More

When entering I requested the discount for my daughter since she is a student. So 2 euros instead of 4 euros. Guess what ? The attendant said the discount only applies for ITALIAN students. The sign next to the entrance doesn't show this exception. Furthermore...More

Fantastic walk up La Rocca. Totally enjoyed the history and the exercise. The temple near the summit was a bonus. Great views of the town below. Photo ops abounded!

Great climb (only one way up and down) with tremendous views at the top. Historically fascinating. Most people were finding the descent trickier than the climb.

When we visited in September, there were a lot of loose chippings on the upper part of the trail towards the ruined castle and fort. Even though our visit took place on a dry day, these paths could become very slippery... More
