Antonio is a gifted chef who loves traditional Sicilian food. He was most enthusiastic and took our group of 6 through a most delightful evening of cooking, exploring different tastes of foods, sharing theory on cooking and all with a backdrop of a wonderful view...More
This was a perfect family day cooking on a gorgeous property that was once a Benedictine monastery overlooking the Mediterranean. The chef was patient with our teenagers with no cooking experience and had a few tricks to impress my foodie interests in the kitchen. A...More

Three generations cooked and ate and drank and enjoyed every minute of this experience. Antonio could not have been more knowledgeable or delightful. It was a true highlight of our stay in Bella Cefalu.
We took the one-day cooking class with Antonio on the 12th of September.
We had booked the class via e-mail, which was very easy and communication leading up to the class with Cinzia was so friendly and efficient!
The class started at 11:30 and we...More

Hi, I attended this course with my sister-in-law and we too are seniors. It was a great day essentially from about 10 to 3.15 although we stayed longer (see below). There were eight participants from various corners of the world. The hosts spoke good English, were extremely friendly, generous, amusing and kind.
We were provided with coffee and cake/biscuit on arrival, then we cooked three courses - starter, main (we choose in advance whether we would prefer fish or meat), sweet - demonstrated by our hosts, then prepared by ourselves under guidance on a very large table in their kitchen. The dishes were not difficult (e.g. stuffed courgettes) but interesting, typical of Sicily and different from normal British/American fare. The hosts used vegetables, herbs and fruit picked from their garden that day.
For lunch we sat outside under a parasol to enjoy local wine (red or white), our cooking and a stunning view down to the sea, chatting happily with other group members. We were invited to wander round the garden and use the (large) pool in the afternoon and linger as long as we wished, in our case until 5pm.
It cost about 90 Euros and worth every penny. The hosts also provide accommodation which looked most attractive and which I would certainly consider on a future occasion.
I hope this answers your question.
