This is an itinerary that offers a succession of different but always grandiose and exciting scenarios. The closest starting points are Passo Giau and Cinque Torri, the fundamental paths are CAI 452-464 to the west and CAI 443 to the east, which connect Passo Giau with Forcella Nuvolau and Cinque Torri respectively, to connect with the CAI paths 439-440 thus completing the circular tour.
It is recommended to tackle it in good physical condition and with favorable weather, as well as - as always - with adequate clothing and the necessary mountain footwear. This year too, in fact, I have seen too many city or picnic shoes, resulting in slips, falls and serious damage.

Among the most exciting and rewarding excursions, the Nuvolau tour certainly takes pride of place. Besides all this itinerary is not particularly crowded, if you consider that the area between Cortina and Passo Giau is, as you know, densely frequented (better to avoid weekends and high season. In making the tour of the Nuvolau is still "a must", for those who do not fear the climb, reach the homonymous refuge, from which you can enjoy one of the largest and most enchanting views imaginable.

Very nice hike, Breathtaking views, definitely worth to do. You can get on the top of the mountain with a cable car, but the hike is much better. Some parts are very steep, so I don’t recommend wear common sport shoes, you should definitely have hiking shoes
