Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent lake shore park. Lots of space and fantastic views across the lake. Two great cafe bars with good choice of food, drinks and snacks. We visited on a Thursday in July and it was really quiet. €30 for each sunbed (lovely discount for family booking), but it’s free to enter and you can pitch up on the grass or lake shore if you don’t want a sunbed. Great day out.

Mother nature at its best here: a stunning beach set in the middle of olive groves on a bay (mermaid bay in Italian) with beautiful crustal clear water.

This park offers a great playground for little kids and also fin platforms in the lake that you can swim to and dive off. My teenage kids loved it.

However, I have to say that it is expensive to get in (€12 per adult) and the lady at the entrance is pretty rude. Any questions about prices/discounts etc..are answered very haughtily.

Toilets are appalling: hole in the ground type and FILTHY! Filthy at 10am? Sorry but they have never been cleaned!!

Finally food: most of what is on offer is hamburgers/hot dogs/nuggets with chips. In Italy with all the amazing food available? Surely they could do better!!

So to sum up, beautiful place, great for kids and teenagers but definitely needs some improvements to justify the €12 entrance fee.

We stumbled across this gorgeous little place when driving up the east coast of Lake Garda on the way to Malcesine and so glad we did.
Just stopped because they was loads of cars and once parked up we walked down to the San Virgilio which was beautiful and then thought we'd change the entrance fee to, what the lady told us was a beach. Glad we did, it was a very peaceful cove with sun beds free to use, a nice pebbly beach and the clearest water you are likely to see.
Very peaceful, great people watching (as everywhere on Lake Garda!). Nice little cafe. A real little oasis away from the hustle of the roads and the towns, Loved it.

The place is okay but overpriced and the staff is unfriendly. There are many beaches around the Garda lake that are as good and free of charge. The beach has guards who tell you where you can take a sun bed, or more, where you can’t take a sun bed. There is a lot of available sun beds at the front of the beach but the unpleasant guards insists they are reserved. Even though there is only two of 45 beds taken there.

30 Euros per adult admission fee. Kids under 12 free of charge.

We walked to this beach as well as to Punta San Virgilio on the headland nearby from the centre of Garda mostly along the lakeside walk which was glorious although it would be much hotter and crowded later in the season. The beach was free to use when we were there last week but normally a fee is paid to use the facilities of showers, toilets, kiosks and picnic area amongst the olive trees. Water in the lake looked clean and inviting if somewhat bracing this early in the season! Carparking from the main road from Garda was free but there was a man sitting at the entrance with a notice which encouraged 'tips' to be left for him!! The small harbour at San Virgilio is worth a stroll to for the scenery and there is a lakeside cafe, restaurant and tiny shop too. Good place to people-watch.

Hello,
I have been with my family (12,8,3) and paid 12 Eu/adult 6/kid.
What we did not know,
- on a hot day, parking is between olive trees on the other side of of the bay.
- it is a whole day stay, where there are also little kids playground and activities.
- it is more a camper stay, without the cars. Kiosks and eating tables are plenty there.
- it is clean and orderly prepared with beach chairs for free
What we knew,
It is avery nice stony beach with beautiful view of the mountains.
There are little plastic islands in the water, where one can jump into it.

When it is not super crowded it is a nice place to relax, but 12€ x person is definitely to much, even if the sunbed is included.
Anyway from the parking lot you can go around the park through the trees and end on the same beach for free, since not all of it is private.

Came upon this place late in the afternoon a few years ago and it happened to be a cheaper day for families after a certain time in the afternoon - spent a few lazy hours and fell in love with the place. Beautiful bay, not busy, clean water, great diving platforms for the kids, amazing views - the kind of Italy you dream of...

Returned the next year just before sunset when it was deserted - absolutely idyllic as we had the place to ourselves. It seemed open to walk down to the beach but our swim was brought to an abrupt end by a groundsman shouting at us to leave. I had read lots of times that you were free to be there after closing time but it didn't seem that way...

Returned a week later on a Saturday - totally different experience. Crowded and really quite unpleasant despite the beautiful scenery.

My advice therefore....go late afternoon on a week day and check out any cheaper days as prices are way too high. The setting is totally unreal if you can avoid the crowds.
