My husband walked up the hill from Garda to Bardolino whilst I walked the lakeside path. He started from behind the church in Garda and walked the path to the top, coming down near one of the camp sites in Bardolino. The views were great from the top and was quite sheltered with trees so he kept cool along the... More

If your in Garda and want a spectacular view of the lake this is for you! The path is easy to find - to the right of the main church in the centre- and has signs all the way up. I went up in flip flops so it can be done but I would highly recommend more sturdy footware! I... More

We took a morning hike from Garda, following the road near Bikapi hostel and then winding up zigzag steps under the shade of trees. The steps are steep and hard work, but you soon arrive at a forest junction with a couple of picnic benches. The path to the top is signposted, and the views over Garda and Bardolino are... More

Walked up La Rocca from Garda on a couple of occasions. Started off from the road by the church and just followed the signs. There is a path all the way and it's much easier than you might expect. Near the top you can turn right to go to the top of La Rocca and get great views over Garda,... More

Quite a steep climb up to the top but worth it for the views. Great for photos of the village and bay.

Set myself the goal of getting up La Rocca before my Lake Garda holiday, so read up a bit about the route and took a screenshot of some instructions. Regardless, I still got a bit lost on the way up, and ended up coming down the cycle track by accident. But, what a reward at the top! Absolutely stunning views... More

There are a number of routes up to the top and none are very well marked, from Garda there are 2 main routes. One by a series of steps very tiring but shorter the other is to the left of the church, behind hotel La Perla, on the road to start then by zig zag paths to the top. Once... More

People have said its a hill to get to the scenic views but it most definitely is not. Although the views are fantastic when you get to the top and I must admit it's well worth it but make sure you take plenty of water with you as there is nowhere at the top to get anything and not that... More
