The museum is interesting, but the rest of the park is a bit confusing with a lot of overgrown areas. There is a main path through but a lot of areas seems to have little attention. There are some great views with Tiamena and Etna...More

One of the first sites, beside the churches in the center of Naxos, we visited, was this splendid museum of archaelogy and park, adjacent to it. There are three buildings in total, two of which are with the artefacts and within it are held the...More

We enjoyed a couple of hours here and used the audio guide. There is a small museum which can still take a while to go round if you read everything. The audio guide is quicker. The actual archealogical exhibits in the grounds we found too...More

It's alright. The museum has some interesting pieces but the actual park itself is a bit forgotten about. Overgrown in places and the signs and plaques are not very intelligible.

Our tour bus detoured so that we could see the archaeological site. It seemed to cover a significant area with many foundations and remainders of the old protective walls. Our guide advised that we were looking at the ruins of the first Greek settlement established...More

We were staying inland so walked down past one side of the archaeological site including the 16th century Vignazza Tower, part of the fortifications of that time. Looking in at the site, it seemed to be expansive, with many foundations of buildings interspersed with vegetation,...More

We stopped for a wander through the ruins towards the end of the day (just before dusk) and had the place completely to ourselves. We strolled through the ruins, starting the end gates, walked up to the ancient outer walls, romped around the streets and...More

The museum has interesting artefacts and articles about Giardini Naxos' and Sicily's history through the ages. I don't know if guides are available which would have been even better. You can see foundations of ancient buildings at the archaeological park. The nature and plants are...More
