What a quiet restful island. We stayed in a little apartment in the Castello which is on a mountain top on the island. This provides cool evenings with a wonderful view and great sunset dining. A trip to the various beach attractions is a 2...More

We took a boat ride from Porto San Stefano to Porto Giglio. We were there for a few hours and our visit was absolutely worth it. Swimming in the beautiful waters among small fish and enjoying the beautiful weather made it an unforgetable experience.

Staying up in the Castello is cool and breezy, no air conditioning required. The people are friendly and helpful with breakfast bars for morning coffee, delis for packing a lunch and frequent bus service to the port and beaches.

This island is gorgeous and crisscrossed with lovely trails. Just rent a scooter when you get there and you are free to explore. It seems there are several places (near the castle) designed for short term rental, with laundry - perfect for hikers! And DO...More
