Lovely city walls give thus place its own identity. Sirmione has similar walls but prob not kept as in tact as what you have in lazise. This gives it its own charming character with lovely gateways and arches

Stopped off here on a circular tour of the lake. Great walk and historic buildings still intact. Atmospheric and not too packed with people. Highly recommended.

To get into Lazise you park your car in the parking lot (charge for parking) across the street and walk in through one of the gates in the walls. The walls were built in the 13th and 14th century. The merlons have interesting V-shaped notches...More

This is a s,aller less famous location on the circuit of Sirmione to Malcesine. Here is a castle building opposite the lake- an impressive structure and certainly worthy of viewing and visitng... if and when it's open to the public.

You enter the town from the main car park through a gate in the walls. The walls are reasonably well intact and give you a good feel of how it was back in time. The whole town is a delight to visit

We liked walking around in Lazise and came back for some more. It's a nice little town with a nice walk on the lake, walls, citadel, nice piazzas and shops.

You can't miss the walls when you are here, but I would not travel to Lazise only to see the walls. I read in a tourist guide that there were no cars allowed inside the walls, but there was lots of cars. Also the walls...More

The town of Lazise is just a nice walk along the lakeside from 'Caesius therme spa' hotel, passing 'Cisano' on the way you even see a lot of wild life on your journey there. Lazise is a lovely town with the castle and its great...More
