Don't miss this little archeological museum with Romam an Greek arts and sculptures; wonderful amphoras, vases, antic heads and Greek theatre masks and much more; there is also a section of vulcanology, all is very nice.

probably one of the reachest archeological museums in sicily. We were particularly surprised for the number of finds, well exposed and sufficiently explained with bilingual (italian/english) sheets. Just spend a couple of hours and visit it.

...from Paleolithic to Modern Age. At the top of the Fortress of Lipari (the old Acropolis). Large collection of Greek-Roman artefacts. A section af the museum is dedicated to the volcanology of the Eolian islands.

The outstanding quality of this museum would justify a visit to Lipari even without all of the other attractions. The ancient Greek material - especially the vases and theatre masks - are equal to any, whilst the Roman shipwreck finds are outstanding. Do not miss...More

Incredible museum with thousands of artifacts dating from many different ages before Anicent Greece and Rome, on through to those times. Very user friendly. Very informative. A few displays show the artifacts in scenes as they would have been. We were there with hardly any...More
