Walking Monte Baldo

Took us most of the day and I found it a hard slog! But wow! When you get to the top...it's well worth it. I'd definitely do it again!

It took much longer than expected on narrow single lane crowded roads to get here from Sirmione. And the entrance was off of what seemed to be a side street. the wait for tickets and the wait to enter the cable cars was not too long. The ride was fun; it was a bit cloudy. At the top, there are... More

We came to visit monte Baldo the day before our wedding with some family and friends. It was a great experience. We had some fog so couldn't see the lake from the peak but we had wonderful views down the other side and lake views from half way. The cable cars turns 360 degrees so everyone gets a chance to... Take the gondola to the top. Either enjoy lunch, hike, paraglide down, or mountain bike down. It is spectacular.

Spent a day up the mountain. Spectacular views, and a couple of good eating places. Ideal walking, and also there is a base for gliding. Weather was excellent on our day trip, but the previous day there was snow.

If possible purchase your tickets in advance. You can queue jump a little then. Yes there will always or generally a wait. But hang on the views from the top are stunning. Also take advantage at the top and undertake one of the walks/strolls that you can do. Or just sit and relax and watch the world go by. There... More

We had purchased our tickets in advance during our visit to the Castello Scaligero in Malcesine. In doing so one avoids queuing twice (once for a ticket, once for the cablecar), but even in October we had to wait one hour in the queue for the cablecar. I have to admit the queue was well organised, and the entrance to... More

My wife and i have been up the cable car several times and the ride up and down is brilliant. Obviously pick a good day for the views across the alps etc. The cafe at the top is good too.

We tried timing our visit but still faced a 3 hour wait in line, which really killed the enjoyment - especially when the majority was spent on the staircases inside the building. The ride up was OK but also the moment we arrived the clouds rolled in and visibility was down to about 50 metres. The service in the food... More
