We stayed in Malcesine for two weeks and came here nearly every day, staff so welcoming and just lovely, drinks good value and plenty of choice, the food simple but delicious.
Thank you for making our visits always special, even putting on the English football for my daughter and hubby!

This is a very friendly "locals" bar - inside is very traditional and not aimed at tourists, several locals coming and going. We had a couple of drinks - my cocktails were very nice. Well worth visiting but don't expect anything too fancy.

Great spot to have a midday drink or snack. Fantastic big toasted sandwiches and excellent selection of drinks. Great to just sit and people watch. Really nice friendly staff too.

Nice atmosphere at Via Castello road. Very friendly staff. Bisnca della casa is quite good and not expensive. Been here a few times and still would come back again. We did not try the food so can’t say much about it.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a great place to sit, chill out and people watch. The bar is situated in the old part of Malcesine, just a few minutes walk from the castle. While we were siting outside we had the bonus of a traditional band go by which added to the atmosphere. The prices are very fair.

Walking around the little cobbled streets and heading towards the Castle, you come across this bar/cafe. We had seen it several times before, but were unable to get an outside seat! The outside seating goes round two sides and everyone who sits there just seems to like to watch the world go by. We had nice drinks, that were reasonably priced.

We got the slow ferry to Malcesine which was fine. The port is quite nice with lots of restaurants and ice cream parlours. we walked away from the port along nice narrow lanes. It was very busy. we stopped at Bar Costello for a local beer and some lunch consisting of Calbrese (tomato and buffalo mozzarella) and a type of ham and cheese tortilla which were both large and tasty. W saw a bride go by on a tsk tsk to her wedding and just enjoyed watching people as they went on their way. Open March to November they also have sports channels if you are staying in Malcesine. Staff were very nice and spoke several languages.

You must definitely visit this bar if you like good drinks and people who go by. Amazing staff, they do know after one visit how you like your coffee. Nice white wine. Best location to see the tourist moving. Very good prices.

Desperate for a drink, nibble and sit down, we took a chance on Bar Castello. What a lucky chance decision. Friendly service, lovely food and no pressure to hurry up and move on. I converted my friend to the delights of bruschetta. We enjoyed a drink of Hugo (which we are utterly converted to), and returned to the delights of this Bar again during our week-long holiday.

Hi, myself and my fiance are getting married in Malcesine on the 6th September. We are travelling from Galway, Ireland. You come highly recommended to us from friends who visited you a few years ago! We were hoping we would be able to have an area in your bar the night of our wedding for about 20 people, from 11pm. We are eating in La Voglia and hoping to continue our night in Malcesine.
This will be our first visit to Lake Garda. Looking forward to hearing from you, any further information you require or can offer would be gratefully appreciated.
