Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to the beach club section of Cala di Puolo (accessed only by a privately owned road) where you can rent for a day or 4 hours beach umbrellas and sun loungers and have access to a clean washroom, bar & coffee shop, and restaurant. In addition to the public beach, you can also take a dive in the private access to the sea at the other end of the complex.
The entrance fee to the beach club includes the 15 Euro per car (max 5 persons) paid to use the private road leading to the beach club and park.
The service is great, the place is clean and quiet and the view is magnificent.
This is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the Coast.

Given that I am meticulous and suspicious, I must say that I was positively surprised and I don't understand the negative reviews
The beach is located on a concrete platform above a small basin.
The price in my opinion is honest, €48/ 2 sunbeds + umbrellas is an extremely honest price if we consider the location, the high season and the services.
The atmosphere is relaxed, people are not crowded together, there is the right distance to allow you to enjoy the day without discomfort.
The owner is very kind and he seemed to me to be a person who does not aim to squeeze customers but rather to earn the right amount without sacrificing the quality of the services
I don't understand the criticisms about the bathrooms, I am extremely disgusting and I found them very clean, there is a lady who stays there all day cleaning it and it's not her fault if you sometimes find it dirty but rather someone who is uncivilized.
The bar has fairly fair prices for coffee and ice cream, while the price for alcohol is higher but it's ok
Small constructive criticism: the bar is well stocked with alcohol but without a real barman it does more harm than good. €7 a spritz is fine but you need an ice machine, a good sparkling wine and someone who knows how to make it with the right doses. Same thing for drinks, I would focus on that to do something more chic.
I don't comment on food because I haven't consumed it.
I've read some strange complaints, some have complained that the descent has a difference in altitude of 500m, I don't understand this criticism, what should the owner do? Change the morphology of the territory? We know that the coast is structured in this way and that a scooter/car is essential
Others have complained about the free beach located next door: again, this does not depend on the owner (or rather on the concession holder), free beaches must exist by law because everyone has the right to use the beach even without paying, given which is a public good.
I will definitely be back!

I went this morning with my wife and we stopped by chance obviously without a reservation. In this place you can choose to go to the free beach or to the establishment. We chose the bathing establishment. By choosing the latter you save 5 euros that we paid for entering the parking lot with the scooter. Establishment equipped with changing rooms, "cold only" showers and an excellent bar. Beautiful elegant place frequented by respectable people. The staff is very kind and professional, attentive to your needs.
Highly recommended.

The place is also nice but extremely expensive given the poor services. A bar that for 2 consecutive days at 12 noon still doesn't have the coffee cream ready (dated machinery?) with staff who shrug their shoulders; Cold coffee doesn't even exist.

with small kids it’s hard to find a place with beach, safe to park and safe to swim without walking miles or taking a lift after a long walk.
found this great little place 5 mins walk from the car park, sun beds at 7.50 each, toilets and lots of choice to eat beach side. worth a visit if you have small kids / grandkids etc.

After coming from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast, Masa Lubrense was a welcome peaceful change. Puolo Beach was the first one we visited and we were pleasantly surprised. We parked at the parking lot at the top and paid 6€ for the day, a lot cheaper than any of the beaches along the coast! The beach was pleasant quiet and we were able to find a quiet spot on the rocks to enjoy the view and water. Deck chairs were available however we came just after lunch and just wanted a spot to chill. Overall a great beach if you don't want the crowds! Enjoy!!

So glad to find this beach with temperatures reaching 34C in Sorrento. Too hot to sightsee so spent a couple of days relaxing here. Used the sunbeds and an umbrella ( 19Euro for day) . Everything very clean: showers, toilets and access to either beach or ladder directly into sea. They also have a café and a restaurant and food was best we'd eaten all week, even though served on plastic plate and not too expensive. All the staff were friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

You can find much better on the Coast! We have been there on Sunday and it was crowded .. transat everywhere, just hell!
In addition the parking is very expensive (15e even if tyou want to stay just 1h)

This is a locals beach. There are a couple of beach clubs but walk to the end and you can hire beds, deck chairs and parasols for 5 Euro a pop and be on the sand...well its part sand part shingle. There are numerous restaurants and trattorias with margarita pizzas at 4 Euro. Toilets are 50 cents and there are also showers. Nice place.

The beach is indeed with sand but also with stones in the water. You will still need those special shoes for swimming.
The beach is very crouded and literally leaves you little space to move or get into the water.
The beach beds are cheaper than other places, 5 euros each, but I would not spend there more than one afternoon.
50 cents if you need to shower on the beach.
