About
Owner of Le Caggiole, millenary farmhouse and home of my family for more than 7 generations.
I spent many years with my grandmother learning to cook dishes of the oldest tradition.
Based on this precious cultural heritage, I studied the ingredients, their seasonality and sustainable production systems, as well as cooking and tasting techniques.
Following this passion, I have been Chef in agriturismo and also Sommelier.
The last 5 years, I share these passions by organizing cooking classes.

We attended the Cooking class by Le Caggiole and were simply overwhelmed with the experience. Giacomo's passion for quality food and wine resonated to his enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge. The class is not only to present a proper way to prepare authentic Tuscan cuisine, but it also served to enlighten us to the true meaning of quality foods and wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the 5+ hours of learning, experiencing and eating the results of our true hands on experience of his kitchen.
The atmosphere of the the class deserves mention as well. Located on his organic farm, we immediately felt welcome by Giocomo and his accommodating staff who tirelessly supported the whole preparation and meal.
This is a "must do" when visiting or staying close to Montepulciano in Tuscany!

We spent an incredible day with Giacomo and Cristiana learning about local foods and wine, preparing lovely and surprisingly simple dishes (you can repeat at home!), and getting to know other travelers. Giacomo has expert knowledge of food and wine and aspires to share with others. This cooking class was a highlight of our trip!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time with Giacomo & Cristiana learning how to make pasta and tiramisu. Giacomo is an excellent teacher, sharing cooking tips from his family's heritage. The meal afterwards where we sampled the pasta and local wine was fabulous. Our teen girls both walked out of the class saying it was a highlight of our trip. Many thanks to Giacomo for the effort he puts into creating a top notch class.

My boyfriend and I took this class and we are nothing but grateful that we did. Giacamo and Christiana were such a pleasure to observe and learn from, we felt like family. The food we made was the best food we had on our entire journey through Italy. This class will not disappoint. From pictures to aprons to laughs paired with wine, book this class, the memories are fantastic!

I can’t say enough great things about this cooking class. This agriturismo is in a 1000 year house, and Giacomo’s family has been there for 7 generations. He cares about food, and he and his wife are fantastic teachers.
This class would be equally beneficial to someone with no experience or someone with quite a bit. I’ve made pasta many times, but learned so many great pro tips. But a complete beginner could go home and make a spectacular meal from this class.
I did some research before booking this, and the 100% 5 star reviews are there for a reason.
If I could do this trip again, I would also stay at the agriturismo. The place is beautiful. I did the cooking class my second to last day in Tuscany and decided to stay my last night at the place. It is worth a visit!!

We did cooking with Giacomo on the 4 th day of our 1 month stay at his agriturismo. What a fun and educational time we had. We made gnocchi and pappredelle. The sauces were all simple with minimum ingredients. Giacomo and his wife Christina are extremely passionate about their cooking and it was obvious that they enjoy what they do. Several other visitors came trough and did the cooking during our stay and they all loved it. The best part is getting to eat all the wonderful food you prepare. You don't need dinner that day!!! The tiramisu was the best I've ever had

Excellent cooking experience at the chef’s farm. Thorough explanations of why certain ingredients are required. The class was hands on, with quick corrections if we wandered away from the instructions. All ingredients were organic and we created the best pasta. The best part was the care and dedication of the chef and his wife. We came away with a much better understanding of pasta - it’s so much more than flour and eggs!

A masterclass in pasta making and knowing which ingredients to use. Made it easy to know I can replicate the amazing meal when I get back to the states. It was truly a highlight of our stay in Italy (including all the sights in the major cities) Giacamo is passionate about what he does and a true chef in every sense of the word

Hello, we would like to book a cooking class for 6 people. What is your availability in the next week + what would the price be? Is there a possibility to do it as a private class?
Thanks in advance!!

Dear Jan,
as you will surely know, important and high-impact health procedures and equipment are needed to counter the spread of Covid19.
Measures that would completely cancel the "road book" of our classes, and mostly the warm welcome, the friendly, peaceful and familiar atmosphere that has always characterized the experiences and ambients offered in our farmhouse.
To protect our guests, our employees and not least my family who ispersonally involved in the welcoming and activities offered on the farm, we have decided not to accept new reservations, at least for the whole 2020 season.
Just to let you know, we took this opportunity to realize some reneval works.
In the hope of being able to welcome you in full freedom and in a more serene athmosphere situation,
I wish you a nice holiday, hoping to meet you in the near future,
all the best,
Giacomo

Do you ever come to peoples homes to do one of your excellent cooking classes? We will be in Montepulciano November 26 and are most interested in finding this sort of activity. Thank you.
P.S. If not, is there anyone you would recommend who does do this sort of thing?

thanks for your kind request.
We can organize private cooking classes here, and also private cooking classes in private homes.
Those services are more expensive, and we need to calculate the rates, time by time.
Just to let you know, we have already organized a lesson (here) on November,25th. We have 4 spots still available. Are you able to reach our place?
For any further info or clarifications, please, don't write here: write directly to my own email address.
