I think, Montepulciano is one of three prominent towns in Toscana to visit. The others are Volterra and San Gimignano. You should visit these three together with little village Monteriggioni. We really likes Montepulciano town center. On the other hand, this square has no specific...More

It’s a long walk up but you can always take the little bus down if you’d rather not walk. Or vice versa. But there’s not a lot going on in the piazza so you won’t need a lot of time.

We took the bus up from the parking lot next to the tourist office and walked back down the streets of this absolutely lovely and well-preserved walled medieval city. The views of the surrounding countryside from the ramparts of the wall are stunning. The streets...More

It’s very Photographic but there is not much to do here. If the church is open it is worth a look! There are a couple of places to get a drink and a few shops. Bring a soccer ball, it’s a great place to play.

This piazza is stuck in time but is so charming! I really think Montepulciano is underrated on the "mustsee towns" in Tuscany. If you climb up to this piazza (because it is a little climb), visit Osteria del Borgo!

This is a beautiful Piazza, with some good restaurants nearby for drinks and food. It is nice to have views of the Duomo, and palazzos.

I can’t believe the beauty of this place. People have lived here for more than a thousand a thousand years (and actually 3000 if you count the Etruscans). Any visit for any reason to this location will make you happy🍷👌💗❤️

We had a great experience using a company in Cortona for our visits around Tuscany. “Together in Tuscany”. Check out their website and contact them. They will do a great job putting visits around the area together for you.
