About
Dates back to the beginning of 1950 the acquisition of the land where today Enrico Neri’s winery sits. We are in Bardano, on the outskirts of Orvieto, a town perched on a volcanic rock dedicated to the viticulture tradition since Etruscan times. This is the story of a family’s passion and their dedication to an ancient practise considered one of the oldest in Italy. Committed to this important heritage, the Neri family has decided to live and work in the country. Their wine is the result of this connection between what characterized their life and their devotion to nature.Enrico Neri’s Estate would like to welcome anyone, who wishes to know the family’s history, the way of living and the wine processing. Wine tasting tours are available all year around for big or small groups. If you wish to visit the winery and taste some wine or have an aperitif with friends, at Enrico Neri’s winery you can find dedicated areas ideal for a glass of wine and some local delicacies

    Excellent wine tasting for families
We had a wonderful wine tasting experience with Aurora, who looked after my husband and I, and our two children aged 6 and 9. Aurora was wonderfully calm, composed and gave us a lovely, relaxed experience. The wine tasting and food was excellent,as was the short tour through the cellar, and various caves. It was not too long for the children and she kept us engaged and interested. The wine tasting room is beautifully cool and the food was ample and delicious. We loved that we could do this with our children; we felt that they were very welcome and they were even given a big picture of wine making to colour in, with an enormous box of colouring in pens. We really appreciated the calm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you!

    Amazing venue and wines.
Absolutely gordious wineyard with spectacular views over the surrounding landscape. We had a 90 minutes tour with four wine-tastings together with local meats and cheeses. Everything was well organized and our guide very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us interesting historical facts about this place. The wine that is produced here is absolutely amazing. Mostly white wines, but they also produce som red. Definetely worth the trip.

This was by far the best tour and tasting we had this trip. Andre (Andrew) was a great guide. He has worked there since a teen and has lots of knowledge about the winery and history. Great to see a family winery staying true to the tradition of Classico Italian wine. Alex also helped arrange or transportation. The white wines were fabulous, Andre made it easy to ship cases back to the US. Thanks for hosting us.

We have been on many wine tours throughout the world, through the years and this one ranks among the best. We were shown vineyards, educated on the history of the family and wine making, brought to see where the wine is produced and then treated to the most incredible wine with appetizers using their own olive oil for a very reasonable price. We loved the wine and olive oil so much that we bought three cases. We have never done that; it was that good! So if you are in the area, please help out this little winery and make a visit. The pandemic has been rough on everyone but especially small businesses.

Great spot. Beautiful setting. The tasting was fabulous and included charcuterie. The tour was very interesting with a visit to the cellar. We were able to purchase wine and olive oil and have it shipped home to the US in a timely fashion and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend for a wine tasting close to Rome!

We had a private wine tasting for our family with food paring that was both excellent and very informative of the various wines and the process. We purchased 2 cases for delivery to the USA which came in a timely fashion and intact. Our family highly recommends touring Cantine Neri. The people at the winery were very friendly and professional!

We spent 10 days traveling in and around Rome and Cantine Neri was an absolute highlight. Beautiful landscape, views for days and amazing wines. If you are looking for a ‘wine country’ experience close to Rome - don’t look any further. Ps - also remarkably inexpensive to ship wine back to the US also. It made for some fun and unique Christmas gifts.

We stopped here as a part of a private day trip to Umbria with RomeInLimo (see separate review). This was the most special experience. My husband, mother and I had the winery to ourselves in late October. Andrea? gave us a wonderful tour of the property. We visited the wine cellar which is an Etruscan tomb! The setting is movie worthy. Just paradise. The wine is delicious. We ordered a case to be shipped home! Our lunch included local meats, cheeses and lasagna. I would most definitely return (I wish I could live here but that's a different story :)
