Oh how we wished we had taken our bathing suits. This was a lovely grotto and so calm. The water was wonderful. We stuck our tired feet in for a while. Great place.

Located at the far end of the town, but just before the castle, there's a little trail that leads down to a view of the grotto. For those in average shape, it's an easy walk to get the view. The grotto itself isn't that large...More

One can understand why the great Byron found this inlet so inspiring............it just soothes the mind and relaxes one's persona to melt away all your woes and troubles.............BEAUTIFUL!

This are was favourite of the romantic Victorian poets. Lord Byron swam from here to meet with Percy Shelley. Sadly he drown on a similar swim in Greece.

15 minute ride to grotto very peaceful and nice. Porto Venere is better than cinque terra less tourists more locals in great beach town that is flatter and has better photo apps

Great to look at but only the daring and physically fit should attempt to swim here. Lots of rock climbing and an interesting grotto to explore.
