This site has a glorious past history, when old civilizations (Phoenician, Punic, Roman) had here an important trading centre. The visit is only possible with a group, in a guided format. I bought my ticket onsite, and the groups are forming there, for different time slots. I found the price as being a bit high, since the entire tour takes... More

Nora (near Pula) is an Archeological Site where the Phoenicians were first and later the Roman. The complex looks like Ostia (near Rome), due to the many beautiful mosaics. Because of low season, we got our individual guide. He told us very enthusiastically about this place with pillars, bathes, sewing systems, etc. In addition the spot is beatiful situated along... Very well preserved city from Roman times including stunning floor mosaics. A guided tour helps you to understand everything better. Quiet a long walk from the parking area. A horrible trip there throught polluted bay close to petrol port.

Did the archaeological tour only (not the tower). Only €7, very good guide, perfect English. A well preserved site, very interesting and lovely views. Took about 45 minutes.

We were advised that this area had ruins going back to Punic times (Phoenician) and more recently Roman. The amphitheatre was in good condition and the roads had no ruts (rubber tyres?) as not apparently used by wheeled vehicles. Some led out to sea and the drainage was still in place. We were told that this is rated as the... More

For 7.50 euro's yo get a tour guide that shows around the archaeological areas of Nora. If you love your history this is a must see. The guide is knowledgeable and keeps it interesting. There's also a souvenir and coffee shop on site.

Archaeological ruins of Nora. 45 min mandatory tour. We were lucky to have our own guide Marco who was friendly and knowledgeable (in English!!). Quite a small area and at the end an hour quickly went. A decent guide made all the difference.

I can quite understand why this site was chosen as a settlement many years ago as it is just beautiful. A guided tour costs €7.50 and includes a visit, again guided to the nearby military tower. I would advise to do both if you are able bodied. Both guides were very informative and fluent Italian and English spoken. I am... More

We came here in the morning and for €7.50 each we got a 50 minute guided tour. They were helpful in providing us with a listening aid in English to assist us in the tour and the guide added extra information and answered any questions. It was a very interesting tour and recommend, also lovely views from the tower.

We went on a Sunday, when the entry fee is only 1 Euro. The guided tour takes about three quarters of an hour. It is in Italian only, but we were given a recording English to listen to. Just press the number on the signs as you walk round. However, our guide spoke good English, told us extra things and... More
