One follows via Gargnano (Gardesana Occidentale National Road SS 45bis) from the centre of Riva heading towards Limone. On the right before the tunnel, take the old road which once linked Riva del Garda with the Ledro Valley. From there one can enjoy breathtaking panoramas for once in a lifetime photo opportunities.

It was really worth getting up early at 6.30am to beat the intense summer heat and crowds to walk up along this old road hugging the cliff of Lake Garda. Superb panoramic views really worth the effort. Interesting history of construction and war information to...More

Reasonably easy hike that starts from the edge of Riva by the power station... takes about an hour to work your way up to the Belvedere where you can get a meal or a drink and then continue on to other trails. Trail is an...More

About 10k there and back. We would recommend but (as walkers) we would watch out for the cyclists. Bar 3/4 of the way up, by the way ! ... a big plus!

Lovely walk with plenty of tunnels to cool down in as you walk through them. We are not as fit as we used to be but it was a comfortable walk uphill and a breeze coming down.

We are not hard core hikers, but we do enjoy pleasant and interesting walks. We walked about an hour in each direction along the path and found this to be about right for us. We passed the coffee bar and then after turning back stopped...More

It was nice and not hard but lot of crazy montainbikers going too fast down the path. I say it is dangerours to go there with children. And as the path is unpaved, bikes some times is under control going so fast...

This is a nice route for a walk or cycling. The route is wide enough for both. The views are fabulous as you go up and there is a little café for refreshments at the half way point.
