Boat left Viareggio at 9am and cost 40EU per person. Not too packed, but this did change we we stopped at two further ports to pick up more people. Portovenere and Moterosso probably get very packed with tourists as there are many boats dropping people...More

I was very nervous about this as I had booked this as an extra trip to our stay in Florence. We caught the train the day before, booked one night in Viareggio but as I could not book this in advance I was very worried...More

Total rip off. Bad service so unorganised we got to the front to hop on and were left behind had to wait an hour for next boat. 33 euros per person and they leave you behind. Seats are uncomfortable and staff are rude and arrogant.

Good news and bad news! Bad news is only one operator on this route! Good news is that it is a great service. Book through third parties and tour operators and frankly expect problems! We took the train from La Spezia to Monterosso and bought...More

We took the ferry from Monterosso to Portovenere and back (due to a train strike, we had no other options), 66 euros for two adults. We asked if we could get off at one of the villages, Manarola, and catch the next ferry back to...More

They sold me a "full day" pass only to tell me after I paid that the next boat was completely full. Next boat was after 12 noon and I could have saved by buying just an afternoon pass. Here's the real problem, they completely oversell...More

Very happy mode of transportation for Cinque Terre... would be nice to have some narrative while going by cities... some history or trivia! Fairly fast way to get to get around

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with this company. We bought the full day ticket from Lerici and really enjoyed the views from the boat and the three stops we made. The employees were kind and helpful and we would highly recommend the...More

Worst company ever! Let me tell you our story. On the 17th of August in the evening we went to the desk in La Sepzia to ask how things are going because we wanted to take the trip on the 18th in the morning. The...More

Reliable safe vessels are the best way to see the Cinque Terre from Portovenere. Ticket booth staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Best to learn Italian in advance because asking basic questions in English gets you scowls!

We jumped on in the beginning of the tour in Viareggio, the ferry pick you up on the end of the pier at the beachside at 9 in the morning. They only sell tickets on the boat and you have to pay in cash.

Hello Tvscala, We had the benefit of having a car so transportation wasn't an issue. Perhaps train would be the best solution The virail website has a specific section relating the Lucca to La Spezia rail journey Good... More
