Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautifully restored villa but empty rooms when we visited as there was no exhibition on. Would be good if it could be used to show the history of Viareggio and how it developed, with photos of the villa before and after restoration.

wonderful Villa, typical of Viareggio, recently restored. built in 1868 by architect Alfredo Belluomini, and decorated by Galileo Chini, a Florentine artist considered among the best of Italian Art Nouveau (also known as Liberty). the temporary photographic exhibitions are always very interesting.

We stayed in the original villa in ocean view room with a lounge. This is a world class hotel, and a credit to the management. Perched above the ocean the gardens cascade to the Adriatic, the pool has sun lounges spread over rocks and the perfect place to just dive in. The main dining room has fabulous views of the old town, yet a comfortable short stroll in to enjoy. Also Victoria bar next door is a must. The staff are friendly and the good and cocktails are excellent.

We stayed for five nights, booked direct with hotel and loved it! Highly recommend.

Found the Villa Argentina from Trip Advisor expecting to see pictures of old Viareggio. Instead we found an exhibition of pictures by Marco Manzilla, circus pictures, fantasy, cycling and swimming gouaches. The house is Art Deco,1925 and well worth visiting for the interiors.

a really interesting look back at old Viareggio through lots of displayed black and white pictures, changing fashions and way of life, and free entry.

When we visited the display was photographs of Viareggio from the past and was wonderful to see how things looked at earlier times.

This villa was well worth a visit, wonderfully restored, light and airy with splendid decorative floors. Entry was free, the staff were very helpful and welcoming and there was little in the way of souvenirs to buy. Whilst we were there, an interesting and comprehensive display of drawings and paintings by Marco Dolfi was on display. Altogether lovely.

This not an 'epic attraction' but admission is free, the villa is lovely, and they host some great exhibitions. My favorite feature of the villa is the aggregate stone floors which are beautiful. Try to go when there is an exhibition, otherwise it is basically an empty house.

Very nice villa, worth a visit if your staying in varregio. There was an exhibition of black / white prints when I visited. It is also free to get in. There is a patisserie/ choclatier a few doors down . Great coffee/ rolls/cakes. We had breakfast here a few times. Really cheap and friendly staff. Gets v busy we didn't come across any other tourist just the locals when we visited.
