Truly one of the highlights of our trip!
May 2019 • Family
Cold-booked a half day here for two couples and our daughters (13, 16, 16). Vincenzo was responsive and helpful throughout the run-up to the trip and, as promised, met us at the head of the path to the school to help us park and lead us down for breakfast. The food was incredible, the tour of the organic garden was a treat and the cooking class was a joy! So much fun and truly a class ... the girls are now proficient in gnocchi rolling! Please, please, please ... do NOT miss this!

An unforgettable hidden gem on the Sorrento coast.

One of our absolutely favorite days of the week we spent on the Sorrentine coast. Vincenzo, Chef Pepe, Lela and Rosella were amazing hosts and exceeded all expectations. Wonderful location, beautiful view, impeccable hosts, and amazing food. Such a special experience, cannot recommend highly enough.

Cannot Miss!

Nonna Rosa cooking school was an OUTSTANDING experience- it's the ONE thing I have told ALL of my family and friends not to miss on a trip to southern italy/naples/amalfi coast. From a 3 course breakfast, to picking vegetables in the garden, learning authentic techniques and recipes and enjoying great conversations with the staff, I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life. I will be back and hope to stay at the villa. It's a beautiful setting, delicious food, wonderful family- all around, an absolute highlight of my trip! Thank you Peppe and Vincenzo for your hospitality, sharing your knowledge and truly a magical day.

From Vincenzo to Peppe and Nonna the family was amazing, warm and happy to have us there. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and the views stunning. The meal we were served for breakfast was a feast surpassed only by what we prepared and enjoyed. Can not wait to go back. Mille Grazie!

Beautiful Setting and An Amazing Experience

This was one of my favorite things that I did on the Amalfi Coast. We organized everything with Vincenzo and he was wonderful to work with. Do the full day which included an amazing breakfast, a tour through the organic gardens and a full day of cooking that ended with eating an amazing meal. The cooking school is gorgeous with amazing views of the Bay of Naples. Don't miss this.

This was was above and beyond what I had imagined it would be! Chef Peppe, his wife Lella and daughter Rosella welcomed us into the villa as if we were family. The gourmet breakfasts were spectacular! The organic gardens and grounds were magically. And the cooking school from our Master chef, Peppe and his sous chef was very informative, educational and delicious. Vincenzo, Peppe’s nephew, translated everything very clearly into English. Vincenzo set up tours, transfers and lodging and everything was perfect, including the communication before and after our epicurean holiday. Many thanks to all!

My wife and I signed up for this cooking class on our honeymoon in Italy, during our last few days of the trip in Sorrento. We literally booked this class at midnight the night before, exchanging emails with Vincenzo. He was a great host and we are truly thankful that he was able to accommodate us last minute.
The morning started bright and early as we were picked up by Leila right by our Airbnb, as round trip transportation was included. We quickly hit it off with the others in our group for the class and the camaraderie over the next 8 hours made this trip that much more memorable. Driving up to the villa through Vico Enquense is quite the journey, but Leila is a great driver, and quite the joker as well! :)
As we arrived we were greeted by Vincenzo and the man of the hour, Chef Peppe Guida. He stayed with us for the first half of the day, giving a wonderful tour of their organic farming, preparing an absolutely deliciously amazing brunch, and kicking off our cooking class with the first few recipes. Having this experience with a world class Michelin star chef is not only the main reason we booked this cooking class, but truly proved to be a once in a lifetime memory!
After we finished brunch, the cooking class began. We prepared a full 4 course meal, tasting along the way. the class was very much hands-on, and the commercial kitchen experience was really a joy. After Chef Peppe had to leave to go back to his restaurant, his Sous Chef took over, and he was wonderful as well. With Vincenzo translating along the way, we learned some great recipes, and shared plenty of laughs over the next few hours. Of course once we were done, it was time to eat all of the wonderful food we prepared. With lunch set out on their gorgeous deck with absolutely breathtaking views of the coast, our group of 7 shared plenty of wine while we eat our 4 course meal.
My wife and i couldnt be happier to have taken this cooking class. I would absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone that has the opportunity. We really hope that we can return one day and experience this all over again. Not to mention that we will stay in touch with Vincenzo in hopes that they can one day soon be able to ship their products to USA. Their family recipe tomato sauce was hands down the most amazing red sauce we ever tasted!
Do not hesitate to book this class if you are reading this review!

Amazing once in a lifetime experience

My boyfriend and I signed up for the longer cooking class at Nonna Rosa just because our original class in Positano was cancelled - and boy, are we glad that this is how it worked out! I can’t imagine a better cooking experience than what we had here.

We were picked up from our AirBnB in the morning and driven to the villa. We were warmly greeted by Chef Pepe and everyone else that worked there. There were 5 others in our class, and it felt like we were all friends by the end of the day.

Chef Peppe took us for a tour of the organic garden and we got to see, smell and taste real fresh produce. We begun our day with an amazing breakfast - fresh tomatoes, cheeses, bread and juices.

Then we were ready to cook. Chef Peppe began our class but had to get to another class so his sou chef took over, and was equally as good. We got to taste everything as we prepared it, then it was time to eat!

We sat outside in the most picturesque setting and enjoyed a family style meal. We were gifted an apron and their plum jam, which were very excited to bring home and share with our families.

We were then driven back to our accommodations, filled with food and amazing memories. This experience was the best part of our trip. I don’t know if I’ll ever get another chance to learn cooking from a Michelin starred chef. I recommend this to any foodie visiting the area!

Magical Place & Unforgettable Experience!
Aug 2017 • Couples
We had an amazing time at Villa Nona Rosa last summer for a week and are making our plans to come back! The property is dreamy and the result of incredible hard work and passion by a warm and talented family who live in and inspire the traditional greatness of this area. The villa is high upon the hills of Sorrento with majestic views of Vesuvius, the surrounding villages and the sea. We went there as two couples with 3 kids – 9-11 years old. The accommodations are B&B style – there are 3 rooms – each with a queen sized bed and cots are available – we used 1 cot. Bedrooms had everything we needed and were built in a nice rustic style with all the modern conveniences including dedicated entrances, AC and full washrooms for each room. Our private terrace was appointed with deck lounges, chairs and tables – overlooked the magnificent ocean views. The property also houses a large organic garden and “cooking school” as the Owner is a celebrated local Chef. Classes are held during some days and I attended one – highly recommend that too! The breakfasts they prepared for us every day were delicious and included fresh meats, cheeses and bakery from local vendors as well as the family’s preserves and homemade olive oil that is the best we ever tasted. We bought some and continue to cook with it at home. The property is perched above some really great local towns that are not overrun by tourists – Meta and Vico Equencse. A shuttle service from the villa is available to take you to those towns daily and pick you up. We had great times in both locales and also took the train from Vico to Sorrento and Pompeii. Jumped off for other arranged tours. This was our second trip to Amalfi and we chose the Sorrento/Bay of Naples area to stay in for a different perspective. We had a truly awesome overall experience and a very big part of that was due to our amazingly welcoming hosts at Nonna Rosa!
