Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Strange sculpture in front the port of the city, is a long hair woman with the face towards the lake. This monument was done to remember the high speed department of the Air Force , famous during the years 1927-1936 for high level of technology.

A beautiful monument in Desenzano that stretches towards the lake, celebrating the exploits of the aviators of the High Speed Department, a mythical group of daring experimenters of "extreme" flight, which brought the name of Desenzano to the international limelight in the 1930s.

Right on the waterfront by the Lake ferry station and bus depot is this very unusual artwork. To appriciate it you need to walk around it and view from all angles. The aviator del velocita is especially striking at night as it is cleverly illuminated.

This is one of several monuments and memorials along the waterfront. This one, dedicated to aviators, is set in a pleasant garden.

Despite being in one of the more touristy areas of Italy Desenzano del Garda retains an atmosphere of a real local town, it doesn't seem to have been taken over with gift shops and ice cream parlours like some of the others around. Some great places to eat too. Well worth a visit if you are in the Lake Garda area.

I loved this sculpture because it is different and set in a small square. Would recommend seeing as you come back off the ferry from Sirmione.

I really like street art and this is worth a visit, located in the main piazza, just near the ferry terminal.

An unusual sculpture situated on the waterside. Although it is surrounded by eateries and shops, few people seem to notice it, but it warrants a quick look.

This is an amazing sculpture which evokes feeling of families leaving for overseas an maybe never returning! It is on a Piazza in Desenzano opposite Ferry Terminal. There is a very nice bar at the Mayer Hotel from which to view it and people watch.

A quite stunning yet so simple monument. Situated in the centre of town, well worth s walk around. Located just along the road from a small market - nice intro to the town.
