We took this drive on Saturday, October 22 and are so glad we did! We began our trip at the northern end of the trail and were pleased to find that we had chosen correctly, traffic from the south was quite heavy. The trip can be done in under an hour, but you should take longer and enjoy the many... More

Such fun we had driving through this scenic Lakeshore Drive. We were charmed by the fall colors and the lovely homes. Our first visit to Michigan broadened our love for America "from sea to shining sea." Please take time to be here.

Gorgeous drive with many scenic views. Trees still had lots of color for many picture opportunities!!

The tunnel of trees is an ideal location to view fall colours , we visited the place just in time . The place has some winery and farm on the way , apart from the scenic route the place has nothing much to offer . This could actually be combined with Mackinaw tours.

During the fall color season this is a great drive. You'll get to see every imaginable colored leaves. The "highway," Michigan M119 (16 miles) is very narrow and very windy and it also runs next to Little Traverse Bay. Be prepared to take your time. The sightseers in the cars in front of you go slow and many times will... More

We did go through the Tunnel of Trees a few years ago and it was out standing. There are several small businesses to see during the trip and we did end up in Harbor Springs. A great place to visit. We did stop for coffee and lunch at a small restaurant ( Can't remember the name) We plan on staying... More

We were heading to St. Ignace from southeast Michigan, and we chose to detour over to the west coast and drive the tunnel of trees. I tried to plan this Michigan trip so that we would hit the fall color change, but it was all green. It was still very peaceful and pretty. The narrow road wasn't too busy, and... More

Gorgeous Fall Drive along the lakeshore and through lots of beautiful trees. The road is a bit narrow - but the drive is worth the time!

What you need to know about this road is that it is two-way, barely wide enough for 2 vehicles, has no center lines, and has a pretty high speed limit, considering some of the curves. I thought it was fun to drive, but it could be terrifying for someone who's not used to driving on narrow, winding mountain roads, as... More

Drove through the tunnel of trees as part of our fall colors road trip. The leaves haven't turned completely, mostly greens mixed with yellows, and peak colors are atleast a week away. But the drive was fun nonetheless. We started at Cross Village and drove south on M119. Traffic was sparse when we drove, but we pulled over for any... More
