Our family spent most of the day at the Thai Elephant Home and visited the Elephant Nursery as well. We were picked up at our hotel in Chiang Mai at around 9 a.m. After a 45 min ride we arrived. We were provided with clothes that protected our skin from the rough skin of the elephants. In addition, we left... More

Wow, what an amazing day. We booked a half day at Thai Elephant Home Nursery. We were picked up in a clean air conditioned car and driven out towards the nursery. Our first stop was at a local fruit and vegetable market for a look around. Back in the car and head off to elephants. We received a warm welcome... More

If you care about how elephants are treated and do not want to support companies who uses saddles on them or chain them up then go and visit Thai Elephant Home. Here they treat the animals very kind and with respect. We went to see their nursery where they have 1 adult and 5 baby/younger elephants that all walks free.... More

It was the most beautiful and memorable day of my life. And it broke my heart into a million pieces. The ride through the rain forest on my elephant, was quite possibly the most emotional day of my life. It was a dream come true. She was a young sweetheart. She was the runt. We got to the river portion... More

My husband and I wanted to experience the elephants in Chiang mai, but not devote a full day. The 2 hour elephant experience was the perfect option for us. We got to feed the elephants, ride them and then also play with them in the river. The company was very professional, provided hotel pickup and also gave us a free... More

If you want an authentic elephant experience, Thai Elephant Camp is the best of them all. You'll learn about elephants, you can ride them (bareback, one person/one elephant - the best for the elephant), give them mud massages and play in the river with them. We didn't visit the elephant nursery (where the babies and moms are) but we hear... More

This was my second time riding elephants, and I would recommend spending the extra $$ to do this and have the 1:1 time. Didn't know we were suppose to bring money to buy extra sugar cane to give the elephants. Bring some 20s. There are people selling in tall huts on your way back, and the pictures of you feeding... My wife Betsy and I were able to build a full day itinerary, personalized to us. We did 2 hours riding elephants in the morning, then 2 hours at the nursery, and ended the day at Tiger Kingdom. We worked with Joe to plan our day, and he was very flexible when we wanted to change our plans. He picked... More

We looked into all the elephant experiences and this one was a bit more expensive but sooo worth it. I highly recommend doing the 2 hour elephant base camp and the nursery in the afternoon. It was only us and another family at the nursery getting to play with a baby elephant. Truly one of the greatest experiences my husband... More
